Deaths web? even worth it

Just finishing my druid im using better then P fort kraken shell, grief pb, cerebus', ss, gore riders, and some other stuff. Anyway i pretty much get owned by every1 and any1. WW barbs, i just cant hit cuz that damn ww, ele druids tear through me, smiters........well smite is just a *** move. and everyone else. Seems as though diablo has lost its originality, personally i think .10 killed diablo. I was wondering, is deaths web even worth it? If i even get to hit smiters i have no chance of walking away and watching the psn kill them.

getting a deaths web probably wont change that much, if your having that much trouble now already. it just takes a while (well, it took me a while) before getting results with a wolf. the deaths web will help a lot in the end, but it wont be an all or nothing item.
just keep practicing, perfecting gear step by step, and youll get results ;)

A wolf is a hard char to play. There is strategy, which means you need to play differently for different chars.
Smiters with grief have 2 range, so do you with your grief pb. Try to out range them, hit them with some poison, and WALK away. There are different strategies that work for some people depending on their gear and how they like to approach a situation. Just practice and experiment with different gear and strategies.

fighting ww barbs is just not doable unless you have a massive gear advantage or they dont know how to whirl (they go right thru u back and forth).

im giving it another go, i was just trying to vent. I almsot have max fhr now so that should help. Although i do have somewhat low defense 2.9k for some odd reason. And with some more levels i should get close to 3k life. Any tips against ww barbs, if they arent wearing a shield i can tear em up. thx again for all the tips guys.

For barbs walking barbs I would say to go near them to make them whirl towards you, then walk away and smack them with your long range wep. If they tele, just press shift and hold down fury attack when they tele onto you. Then walk out of their WW. Do this with a 1handed wep so you can have a chance to block. I may be wrong but this worked for me.

your life is awfully low. get ss skillers with life if you can. people tend to let them go pretty cheap. kiba has some great strategies posted somewhere (use search) with videos included.

you might also wanna list the rest of your gear in case there's something that could be improved :p wolves aren't easy to duel with so don't panic if you don't get results right away. when you start to be more succesful it's a great feeling.

3K life is really really low for a PvP wolf. You should be well above that even without Oak Sage or BO. My PvM wolfie last ladder had 4.5K without Oak Sage or BO. I had some very nice gear, but nothing godly.

Also key would be your AR, which may be too low.

Finally, there is the whole one-handed vs. two-handed setup. Different setups work better vs. different opponents. You only mention a one-handed setup.

if you have to choose either 1h or 2h i'd stick with 1h but ofc if possible use both. you also might wanna try ebotdz some day. range 3 makes difference when dueling smiters for example

Defense on a druid is always that low, unless chilling armor activates then you can have a whopping 6k like me .

Life is really low unless your using something like a titan build.

As for barbs it sounds like you have a lack of AR. I'd suggest getting angelic ammy/ring combo or hasuras boots/belt. If your like me who built upon the dex from ravenfrosts for max block I'd suggest picking up a MetalGrid. As for strategies I'll usually try and hit them w/ rabies first and then sit there and shift fury. I'm usually good against barbs unless they're BvB gah the high defense :/.

Also don't really expect to do well against smiters. They're our achilles heel.

DrOODs always have crappy defense even my bear only maxes out around 13k. 3 K life seems super weak. My fury rabies has almost 7k WITHOUT BO. Work on getting Life skillers or at least plain ss skillers. This will help your damage AR and hp so they are a must.
One other thing im not sure has been mentions is that grief pb is only range 2 while ebotdz is range 3. Grief will give slightly better fury damage the ebotdz saves u a ton of stats that can be put to vitality and the range three helps you to land your main attack, rabies. One more tip WALK vs anyone that melees. Smiter land rabies walk away. Barb walk and shift rabies then dweb switch then shift fury.

Just went back and read ur gear set up (i know i shoulda done that first) and it seems that you are a hybrid emphasizing fury rather than rabies hence the grief+ fort. If this is your goal i wouldnt bother with dweb. Infact i probobly wouldnt bother with rabies either just make a pure fury druid and put remaining pts to summons or feral rage.

The most effective ss druid IMO is the rabies/fury druid wearing bramble + trangs to help rabies damage which is the primary attack and only using fury as a back up attack. If you decide to switch to this build then dweb+20,-20 poison shield will make a HUGE difference for you.

I'm against stating around BotD. How are you gonna switch to 2 hander mode if you do?

Also, Fury/Rabies normal setup is Fort, Trang. You only need Bramble when facing Barbs and Smiters really. Everyone else normally dies in one Rabies regardless.

i planned stats on my wolf around ebotdz. For 2 hander i either have to wear tgod or my 20 str 15 dex 120ish ar ring. I usually wear bramble all the time cant see much of an advantage to fort.

Fort is generally used when either:

Your poison damage is being nerfed hard (Guled Andy's, Chugging Anidotes, etc), or when you're facing a low HP opponent where Rabies is going to kill them regardless of whether you wear Bramble or not.

But that's another discussion for another thread :).
