DDR- should i get it on PS2 or DC?

i really want to get DDR, and my birthday is comeing up. im going to ask my grandparents to get me DDR. i already have a Dream Cast, but i dont have a PS2. im wondering if you guys would sugest getting it on the dreamcast or the PS2. if got it on the ps2, then i would have to ask my grandparents to get me a ps2 as well as DDR and 2 good pads. if i got it on the dreamcast, it would be an older version, and the pads would be REALLY hard to find, but i dont have to get a new system. what do you guys suggest doing? ive tried looking for it on ebay, but the only dreamcast things they have is the games themselve, and no pads. do any of you know a place to get pads for the DC? also do you know if the song "butterfly" is on either of the dreamcast verisons? my sister realy likes the song. and would the dreamcast versions in english, or are they japanese only? if its hapanese, can i get it to play on my american dreamcast?

Well, I have every version possible. I say you go to www.stepmania.com, and get it there. I bought a PS to USB converter for my computer and play with a pad like that. This way you can save yourself some money, and play orginal songs that people make and are sometimes a lot cooler.

the main problem with playing DDR on my computer is that i dont have space in my room to put the pads, and my computer is in my room. if i were to get DDR, i would hook it up to the TV in the family room, where the is room. also, it wouldent be my money im saving, but my grandparents money. so cost is a factor, but not a huge one (the grandparents in questionarnt poor; my granfather owns the family buissness, a steel company{he's essentialy the middle man who you go to to buy steel from; he dosent make it}).

Then I would say buy it for the PS2. I own DDR MAX for my PS2 and it is great, plus the Dreamcast is dead.

yes, but i already own the dreamcast. with the ps2 i would have to get the system, the pads, and the game. with the dreamcast i just need to find the game (which is at least possible to find) and the pads, which are impossble to find. so, i take it that you would say just get the PS2 and the pads and game, and dont try to find an old version and pads which they probably dont make anymore?

if console i would also go ps2, if you get a nice pad you can use it and the old games even when the next gen of consols comes out, but pc is 2nd choice (arcade 1st ofc).
