"Uber Diablo", also known as "Diablo Clone", is a somewhat beefed up Diablo monster with a special drop (the annihilus unique small charm). For my playchar (a Skelemancer), it's the toughest monster the game has to offer, but I'm working on speeding things up :) Or the only monster that can cause trouble, depending on how you look at it.

Contrary to what "that page" says, it doesn't show up randomly; people create world events by selling enough SOJs on a server. The clone will then appear in all hell games on that server.

Yes, it is real. Or at least as real as anything you get in D2.

Yes. Several times.

I don't know.

Here is what the page u added the link to says:

"This demon is a mystery to all but the most elite players. Be warned, for this Diablo is far stronger than his predecessor, but great rewards await those powerful and clever enough to stand up to the challenge...
Über Diablo only awakens on the Battle.net Realms. Just what could possibly cause that? It remains a mystery to some. Others have figured it out. Could it involve the Stone of Jordan? Über Diablo only appears on Hell Difficulty. He can appear in various acts and locations in the game. He is the only monster that can drop the Annihilus Charm."

He's a mystery, he only awakens on bnet, he's strong and he drops anni. It even asks; what could possibly spawn him!? Hmm maybe SoJs?

Well... I know these bits of now useless info. What I mean by exact numbers, is like how many SoJs have to be sold on a server to spawn him. I'm also sure, not all ppl can control what server they create a game on, which also helps.

The range I know is 75-125 SOJs since the last WE. Doesn't really matter for me, since I cannot possibly sell SOJs myself.

You can't control on which server your game ends up; after creating a game, do a "netstat -n | find "4000"" on your windows box, or something like "grep "ESTABLISHED.*dst=213\.248\.106\..*dport=4000" /proc/net/ip_conntrack | sed -e "s/.*dst=213\.248\.106\.\([0-9]*\).*/\1/g"" on a linux gateway to see which server you are on (the linux command isn't 100% reliable, since the conntrack info isn't always correct, but it works well enough most of the time)

EDIT: the 213.248.106/24 is the bnet subnet for the european realm; I suppose the other realms use different addresses.

I still look for more exact numbers and data. 75-125... ? Even that would be a 66% difference, and also it's common to see 6-7 hundreds of SoJs sold. Anyways It may be random as well...

Yeah thats the good thing, you need to keep track of the soj counts on all servers and know at what number DC spawned last.

If on a server it last spawned at count 1826 for example, it will next spawn at a random number between 1826+75 and 1826+125.

There are people who do keep track of all that stuff. Last season i have made DC hunting my occupation. I cannot recomment it to you. I still wonder how i thought that was fun. It involves waiting for many hours.
