    Darkforce Spawn or Homunculus?

Just find a perfect Darkforce Spawn in Ancient Tunnel by my MF sorc.. Currently, my skellymancer uses a P. Diamond Homunculus. Just wonder which one would be better ?
    Homunculus
    Hierophant Trophy
    +150-200% Enhanced Defense (varies)
+5 To Mana After Each Kill
    40% Increased Chance of Blocking
    30% Faster Block Rate
    +2 To Necromancer Skill Levels
    +20 To Energy
    Regenerate Mana 33%
    All Resistances +40
+2 To Curses Skills (Necromancer Only)

    Darkforce Spawn
    Bloodlord Skull
    +140-180% Enhanced Defense (varies)
+1-3 To Summoning Skills (Necromancer Only) (varies)
+1-3 To Poison And Bone Skills (Necromancer Only) (varies)
+1-3 To Curses (Necromancer Only) (varies)
    +30% Faster Cast Rate
    Increase Maximum Mana 10%

My Darkforce Spawn is +3, +3, +3 :p (lucky me).. but, the strengh requirment is not low (105), although I have pump my strengh to 97 to wear skullder's Ire for MF. For the 30% FCR, it seemed better for bonemancer or poisonmancer since the skellymance won't need it.. Any suggestion ? Thanks!

    2 things:

    1) if Homun is better... why then do you want that one?

    2) THIS IS NOT THE TRADE FORUMS, YAH FOO!

To the original question, yes, Homun is better.

Maybe if you desperately need the 30% fcr use the darkforce.

Homoncolus is the most versetile shield in the game IMO.

hehe, ok.. I will think about the trading thingy (shishh... let's not talk this here :D). I also think homunculus is better overall.. but, hey, my posionmancer or bonemancer could use the darkforce spawn since I only have one Homunculus.

    Thanks for all input.

if you discount the fact that it can only be used by 1 out of 7 char classes

Personally, I would favour the Darkforce Spawn for a Skelemancer due to the higher +skills, and the Homunculus for a Bonemancer or Venomancer due to the resists and the vastly improved blocking. Skelemancers have much less need for defensive bonuses than do non-summoning necros.

It really depends on whether you've raised your Dex to give you blocking on your Skelemancer. If so, might as well stick with the Homunculus; no sense wasting all those stat points on a low-blocking shield. If not, I'd switch to Darkforce Spawn (and socket it with a perfect diamond, of course). Extra resists are nice, extra +1 all skills is nicer for a Skelemancer.

Imo, for a non-blocking necro, both are put to shame by a +3 Boneflame, since that has the extra +1 skill and resists.
    YMMV however ;)

Hmmm. my Darkforce Spawn is +3,+3,+3. so that equal to +3 all necro.. not worse than boneflame. The difference will be one has 30% FCR and one has 20-30 resist all. For blocking, I think skellymancer won't need block, IMHO. You have way too many "SHIELDS" already.. unless you rush, otherwise, you're pretty safe without block..
