even if titans is the best weapon for this build you should include info about other weapons. wraith flights, eth gargoyles, eth demons archs are all possible alternatives that could be used for this build or a hybrid of this build.
definitely investigate two-handed jabbing. i tried a jabzon using ebotd matriarchal pike and i was impressed with the results...use berbercoa to get better dr etc...minor gear changes...

Thats a good idea too. Though, since this is mainly a melee pvp build, a 2 handed jabber wont be nearly as effective. Sure her attack speed will def be up to par, and her damage will be awesome too but if you invest into dodge, since she wont have a shield its pretty much game over in any melee game. If you dont invest any points in dodge, then she wont suffer from the dodge lock bug however, her defense will be sooooo loooow that she just wouldnt hold up.

I see what your saying though and a 2 handed jabber would be good against a caster, but in melee duels against a zealer or a ww barb, I just dont think it will work very good.

I have tried different javs as well. Thunderstrokes, Wraith Flights, and an assortment of rares with decent mods. The problem with Thunderstrokes was mainly that, they are VERY effective with lightning attacks but since jab isnt lightning based, this makes them less effective. Still great, but theres better for a jabber. The Wraith Flight was fun to use but I just wasnt satisfied with them in the long run. The few rares I tried were alot of fun as a switch and test type thing. But Ive (personally) had the best results with titans. Im not saying that titans are THE BEST javs, im just saying that of all the javs ive tested, eth titans (upgraded or not, I have both) had the best results. Also, I know there are some sick rares out there that blow titans away. These of course would be a better choice, but if you cant find them or trade for them.....

Sure theres faster javs out there and faster zons and faster jabbers etc etc. Like I said before, this build isnt like a paladin or a barb. A jabber can have her gear switched around and still be viable. Thats the beauty of her. You build her and once your happy with her lvl and skills, equip her with what you want. This guide was just to give some pointers as to what works good universally. Ive had no trouble beating casters and meleers with the same gear setup. Though I did notice recently that Imp Brow works better than Highlords with my zon so I doubt ill switch up her ammy anytime soon.

I dont have a ebotd spear/pike, though I do have an eth 6 socket war pike :clap: but Im just holding it for now...not sure if ill use it for anything yet. It would be fun to use, but dont get me wrong now, IMHO to achieve a good jabber build for duels, youll need a shield....thats just me though. :xsmile3:

Casters

You say that you do not have troubles with casters, but I have a couple questions as to how you go about killing them.

1. Does it require a lot of R/W to catch up to them? Since Enigma is not really a viable choice for this type of build, is running pretty much the only way to get into melee range with a teleporting character?

2. As far as resistances go, do you switch-out gear to achieve stacked resistances? Or just rely on the best resistances you can get reasonably and hope that D/A/E save your hide?

The reason I ask is that I want to be at least decent in a standard dueling game with both casters and melee'ers without constant switching between gear.

I do have a couple general questions regarding the build as well.

1. What breakpoints do you think is the minimum for IAS on a Jabber? With 5 frame attack, your gear choices are much more broad (more OW/Res/DR etc).

2. About OW, do you think a build that is designed around OW would be viable? I have come up with the following gear setup that would have OW in mind.

Helm-3 Socket Jeweler's circlet with a good secondary mod (Dex, etc.). With IAS/ED jewels in the sockets, giving 45% IAS.

Amulet-Cat's Eye or Highlords. Cat's eye for more Dex and R/W if necessary, Highlord's for all other occasions I imagine.

Armor: Duress in whatever light armor.

Weapon: Upgraded Ethereal Titans.

Shield: Stormshield with Um, Ber or IAS/ED jewel should your exact gear setup get to another IAS breakpoint with the IAS.

Rings: Both high AR 20 Dex Ravenfrosts.

Belt: Thundergod's Vigor (Lit Sorc's or Trappers)/Verdungo's/ Crafted OW belt with FHR/Life/Res/Stats etc.

Boots: Goreriders

Gloves: Dracul's

Charms: Passive Charms (5-6), Annihilus and the rest being AR/Life, Res, FHR and other useful mod small charms.

With this setup and using Verdungo's you get 68% OW at a 5 frame attack speed which is 5 attacks per second. Using different gear like Crow Caw or Jeweler's armor with an OW belt can keep your OW % high while maintaining the 5 frame speed or possibly a faster attack.

In the setup he out lines its about 100 ias i believe 170 is the next break for ias with jab gl
you can kill smiters with lf if you like to use lf.

fend might be more usefull pvm, jab concentrates on only one opponent, a high lvl Lf with a base or low lvl jab seems to work relitevly good though.

great guid, i play classic d2 and i am makeing this zon now, lvl24 useing twitch, death guard sash/glove, swordback hold shield/steelclash, goblin toe boots, duskdeep helm, eye of etlich amy, 2 manaldheal rings.

wound up in a duel at lvl17 with a lvl27 paly i held my own till mana ran out and still stabbing away till i died, it was fun, now gonna try lvl more to max jab, cs, dodge and more duels, hope the gear i got is good enough, for classic d2, str 60, dex 85, vit 40 biulding up vit right now seeing as it's classic i dont need much str,

Have you tested Guillaume's Face instead of Harle? CB only drops 1/10 of a player's life, but with 50% (Gores +GF + crafted blood gloves), it is just extra damage. I play offline, so Duress is unavailable, or else I would use that.

Anyways, about updating the guide. I doubt ill update it since the build is very flexible. Almost everything you guys have said has been tested at one point and I made the guide based on what I thought she did best with. If you guys have items that you think are better suited for the build, then by all means knock yourself out. After all, guides are just a means to get you started and "guide" you along the way. The end result is always different for everyone.
Its an extremely fun build, especially when you put the leftover points into LF or LB to deal with those pesky casters. Have fun!

I had alot of time to think.. is there a really big difference between : 4.5fps (5.5 attacks per second) and 5fps (5 attacks per second)?

Im thinking this set up (5fps/5attacks per sec setup):

Armor: 16060 Ias

Shield: Cham SS

Gloves: Dracs

Belt: Dungoes

Rings: 2x Angelics
(IF I NEED RESISTS, I'll strap on a Maras, and 2x stat+resist rings I have laying around)

Switch: CTA+LIDLESS

***This setup I should have 35% OW, 15% CB, 60%+ CS, KICK AZZ AR, AND 50% DR.

STATS:

Str- Enough to equip SS after charms
Dex-200 (I better be able to my enemies, I want my AR through the ROOF)

What do people think?

For casters, I think ill learn to throw my javs instead of having to rely on GA. Its shows ILL SKILLZ.

And for PI Monsters... Ill put rest of my points into Lightning Bolt. ALSO with my A2 Might Merc w/ Doom. For EZ PVM

Now... to get started on collecting them 320's
