Damage Reduction, how much is enough?y

how much DR is really enough for a melee character, to narrow it down, a zealot. how much DR do we zealots really need? i have 43% and i dont get owned, infact i do the exact opposite except when i....(the usual excuse) lag.
anyways, how much difference is there between 43%,39% and 50%, they are only maximum 11% difference between the lowest here(39) and the highest(50). how much damage is 11% more? i need some input from experienced zealots, this could expand the horizons in set ups ><

all depends on setup. if you have overkill defensive, i dont see 50%dr being that necessary. but its always best, imo, to shoot for 50%

id say 40%+ is sufficent enough, but im not entirely sure on this. ask dracoy to test :lol:

40%+ is good i'd say... But if you can... throw a ber somewhere in the mix... you'd be surprised the difference.

40%+ is good enough. I would rather have a setup that has only 40%dr, but better locking and extra hits (some vet. zealots call it "ghost zeal"), than 50%dr setup.

Just a personal preference, but I never go below 45% when building a character.

uh its fine then...really shouldnt matter.

I try to stick with 50% my self. Why it is just me and I like having 50%.

I think that 50 dr isnt that important on a zeal vs zeal pally because usually the other guys zeal will kill you in like 3 hits. As long as you dont go too low that he's killing you in two hits, you should be fine with less dr.
So I'd guess that 35+ is enough?

90% of the above-average zealots, I've seen, have the naked look. So I say do whatever and sacrifice some %dr if you have to. Just don't look naked.

As close to 50 as u can.

Nothing lower than 40. 45~ is acceptable
