Daggermancer for SP?

Greetings!

As of late, I have been spending time on Single player (LOD, 1.11b) and was wondering if anyone could help me.

Sometime in the future, I plan to make a Dagger necro so maxing out PD, PE, and PN is a must but I would also like to pump in some points into one of the golems. Right now I'm torn between fire and clay and I am not sure which one to build up. What are the pros and cons of each in relation to each other and to the daggermancer in a single player game? Also, how many points do I put in GM and in Resistence?

Use both. Clay golem is useful against hard single targets. for the slow and Fire Golem with his aura will usually draw a lot of attention to him (crowd control).

Just start with 1 point in the Golems, GM and SR. You can always recast your golems and Daggermancers really can use all the damage they can get from the synergies.

I'd just go with a Clay Golem, and spend only 3 points in summoning (CG, GM and SR). Instead, max Dim Vision so you can disable monsters and take them one-by-one, and put a few points in Lower Resist.

I usuall go with one point in each golem and resistance and mastery. Clay is usually the choice, especially when recasting against bosses because he's so cheap. I love the Fire Golem for Act IV because clay gets fried so much by fire using monsters. You can easily get your golems to +8 skills or with items and a good wand on weapon switch. I wouldn't put any more points than that into golems until you're done maxing your poison skills and get DV to a good duration. Golems willl serve you well through nightmare with just 1 point and +skills.
