That figures. I was actually having fun with doing that to attempt to craft item slot upgrades.
I copied over my chars to PTR and my 20 million gold went with it. Since the PTR became available to everyone, I have re rolled one each of the characters. I have only gotten to level 18-22 with all the new characters. I usually do one area per character then switch to another character and do that area again. That way if anything drops the levels are usually close enough to make sharing items possible between my characters.
I noticed right away that not enough blues and yellows dropped to craft very often. I had the gold, but not the materials. So I started buying every yellow and blues (usually rings, or belts) as needed. This was done just so I could attempt to craft upgrades. For some reason I like the graphics and sound effects of the process and it is fun to 'roll my own' so to speak.
It still took anywhere from 1 to 20 crafting attempts to get an item upgrade per slot. NERFED.
No more salvaging vendor blues and yellows for materials. Gee thanks Blizz. I have let them know how I feel on the D3 PTR forum.
But I am curious, am I the only one that did this or cares that vendor blues and yellows will never become mats after we spend our hard earned gold on them?
