D3 anything more than just clicking and killing?
Obviously the non-stop demon execution of the previous 2 Diablo's worked incredibly well for the gameplay. As long as there was a new kind of monster to kill, and attacks to learn, clicking and killing never got old. But those games were created at a point in time where shear volume in game size was limited. Now we are being given Diablo 3 apparently under the same gameplay formula as the previous two. The main difference being flashier spells and attacks, and destructive environments, better graphics, and elaborated story.
However I feel that in face of the diversity in gameplay options available in
rpgs today, there are things to do other than just clicking and killing despite the fact that rpgs obviously center around killing for exp/items. I'm just writing to ask if any of you guys think that D3 might benefit from an expansion in gameplay that includes options other than just killing such as in game customization options, different types of social mini games, or crafting. What do you guys think?
