    D2 mod: Ancestral Recall

    Anyone play this mod?

It brought me back to d2 because it's just so much fun. I love the increased dificulty, great drop system (meaning no endless hours of mfing) and the new monsters. The only thing that's missing is someone to share it with... sigh. If anyone wants to play over tcp/ip (or whater d2 uses) with me, reply to this post. The mod can be found at <link deleted>

edit: We can't link to mod sites, but you can discuss freely over email :)

You might want to remove the planetdiablo link. We can discuss mods here, but can't link to them I think.

Never played it myself. I don't play many mods, unless I'm REALLY bored.

Sorry to tell you, but we don't support mods here. We also do not allow external linking to other competing forums and places that offer mods.

Do not be suprised if your post gets edited by someone other than you.

Having read the above post, I'll save some time and just go ahead and delete my post.

It's ok to discuss them, but we're not allowed to link to them or how to make them or discuss how to make them. At least I think that's the rule.

Talking about them is perfectly fine though. :)

the rules of the forum state that we can not post links to cheats/hacks or anything like that, and i believe that mods fall into this category. you are of course free to discuss mods in any amount of detail that you would like, so go ahead and post to your hearts content, Stack. personally, i have not played the mod you were talking about (nor any others, but that doesn't much matter :D), so i'll just exit, stage left. <====

The only mods I'd play are things that fix bugs or those that don't affect gameplay (like the rune color mod). So far I haven't heard of any fan made bug fixes in D2 but who knows...

Well, sort of. Mods can be discussed, but not so freely as to give details of where to find them, or how to make them.

Basically the admins suport discussion of how to play them.
