D2 - Boxing Match?

Fun idea, not sure if it's been done before. Kind of like iron man except you use no weapons or skills, just punching at lvl 9. A druid could be Mike_Tyson since they like to bite things. I think it would be funny at high levels also, except it may take a while.

Edit: A barb would be pimp slapping a sorc.

Well well well....as i was working out at lunch and watching the start of the olympic ceremones i was wondering if there was any useful way to do a D2 olympics (talk about pathetically addicted) but all i could think of was a race between a teleporting sorc, a vigor paladin and a frw barb (have to be some limit on FCR for the sorc). But this adds one more olympic sport (tough to beat a barb with just punching...any skill points and is it fully naked?). Are there other possibilities for D2 summer olympics?

Edit: A nice place to run this also would be bloody foothills.

No skill points used for boxing and probably naked when you actually fight. Maybe a sorc or zon could use a low defense armor against a barb or something. You can use weapons while leveling to 9 of course.

How silly of me? But what level? Are charms allowed (I would say no)? Would have to be an already revealed route (no MH advantage) and monsters or no monsters (or just none that matter).


...boy is this silly..tho it has probably be done before....and someone will quickly calculate who would win anyway...

Yes, totally agree with the no potion rule.

Edit: Winner gets to wear Cy's pretty hat as long as it's not painted pink and filled with carrot juice.

My friends and I actually did just this and went to level 18 for the first time. Then we went higher levels later.

The rules were simple: Anything except an actual weapon.

So of course, the first builds were all barbs with max bash. A few with stun. A sorc with enchant, etc. This was pre 1.10 so the enchant wasn't really a big deal since we had max res's typically. We had zons with critical strike. We had druids with fury and bite. We had paladins with sacrifice.

Overall though, the killer builds was this:
Paladin up to level 18. Could own the higher level characters any day.
Using nothing but low level "damage reduced by 2" gear. Stacked it all up (steelcash.. was the best of the items). Holy freeze was used. Zeal was used. Otherwise, it was a "chance to open wounds" item. But the freeze/zeal combo with the damaged reduced by 2 gear was the king of the level 18 boxing matches.

Get a bunch of zons to fire at a BoSed asn or vigor pally with normal arrows as the asn or paly (or w/e) runs side to side between two markers (potions, rocks) each zon gets say 15 arrows, whoever hits most wins.

PS : For those who dont know in classic we still had our prepatched items, those uniques w/ no lvl req.
