D. Clone walked...where is he?

Diablo Clone walked on my game...I got the Diablo walks the earth message and the screen shaked and everything. I went to the first unique monster, Shenk, and D. Clone wasn't there. I have been killing Super Uniques ever since? I thought he was supposed to spawn in place of the first Super Unique I met...can anyone shed some light on this for me?

you should remember where you exactly were when got the msg ..Diablo walks the earth!
I'm not sure if this can help but that's my only ever diablo clone event experience.
It happened to me a couple of years ago to get the world event game message, and started to search with a buddy of mine for the clone in all act 1 with no results, then my friend said he was at the bloody foothills wp while got the we msg, and turned back soon in act 1 town. after hours of search we did found the clone was Eldritch.

Also you can only find him in hell games. If there were more players they could've killed him first. Even after dclone has been killed and you join that game it was diablo walks the earth.

I was in a private hell game...it took me a couple hours, but I found him. I was doing a Countess Run when the message popped. I immediately TP'd to town and use the WP to go to Shenk. I went down from the WP to Shenk and didn't find him. If I would have went up a little bit from the WP I would have found him. Got a great 18/20/8 anni for all of the effort.
