This is a follow up of my last post. I didn't realize my infraction to this board and feel like I just got stopped by the Police for speeding! I apologize to you all, but at least hear me out before you judge me.


Thank you for not jumping to conclusions and yes I am new to this board. I appreciate and respect the game and legit players, for I have been one for over 6 years.
I go back to the Original Diablo remembering characters such as Snot Spill and the Arch bishop Lazarous.

In addition, I never teamed up or joined a clan because I didn't trust other players. I alway's seem to get PKed, so it was easy for me to become the Lone Ranger.

Well the past year I have been playing HC only because of bordom.
This revived my interest in the game. What happened next, my lvl 80 plus Necro gets PKed by some P$%#K. This happened to me over and over to the tune of at least 6 high lvl characters.

Now how this post started, 2 nights ago I was doing Hell Baal runs with my LEGIT lvl 82 Blizz Sorc. and guess what happened? I entered a new game and followed a Druid into the portal and I FRICKEN DIED. I was sick like you don't know, and said I quit this game and would never play again.

After cooling down, I started a new character, lol. Someone advised me to get this program to prevent PKers from screwing up my life every friggin week. So obviously it sounded interesting to me which is why I asked the question in the first place.

I hope you all understand where I am coming from, and yes I am sorry if I insulted any of you who play a clean honest game.

The trick is to find a group of players (this forum is a great place to start) who play legit, and have a good time. Seems like people are always starting up a new team game here on the forum, and while many fizzle out after a month or two, some stick around for a good long while. You'll make friends, build that f-list, and eventually playing your high level characters in public games can be avoided.

And in the meantime, you can always make appropriate sacrifices to whatever gods you believe in, in the hopes that someday Blizz will actually fix the !%#$ loopholes that allow cheap PK tactics to flourish. It won't work, of course, but it might make you feel better. Just don't sacrifice puppies please. Or cookies.

I personally find sacraficing Skunks to not work so I have stopped......I kind of figured TPPKers most likely smelled lieka skunk so that was my theory......

Sacrificing skunks *does* work. But only with skunks named "Bob." Luckily, my name isn't Bob (or any variant thereof), so I'm safe. But if you ever find a skunk named Bob, and perform the proper ritual, omg...

Oh, and let's not let this turn into another "Blizz doesn't care, blah blah blah" thread. I'd hate to feel responsible for that.

don't sweat it too much. THis is a pretty forgiving lot, mostly 'cuz they can't remember what happened from week to week, so it's not like you're labeled for life.

As far as the hacks go, the posters here generally eschew their use, but that doesn't mean that there aren't a few out there who are not above using third party programs, and even a few who are respected in many ways as players (someone who's name begins with a "T" comes to mind...).

The point Cy tried to make to you was not to expect most of us to look too kindly on MH/chicken users, as this in many ways defeats the purpose of being HC.

Hi Ray, I have never had a thread with my name in it before!! I feel so special and all warm and fuzzy!!!

Actually you seemed nice and obviously didn't know what kinda trouble that question would cause around here so I just kinda wrapped you in asbestos for a lil bit. No lawsuits if you get cancer though!

My stinky skunk friend makes a good point, there are lots of really great people on this forum and you could get a group together to keep yourself out of the pubbies. I don't know if you ever mentioned what realm you are on but people are always looking for legit parties - Also there is the Isle of misfit players - I don't know if that is invite only as no one ever invited me *coughs* but the threads have some really great people checking in on them so I can only assume the group would be lots of fun.

Oh, one more thing .... THERE WILL BE NO SACRIFICING OF COOKIES TO ANYONE OR ANYTHING OTHER THAN HER ROYAL CYNESS!!!!!!!!
