Curses question

I've got some questions for you undead people.

1. How does Amp Damage work? I know it removes physical immunity but would it also increase damage of auras such as Thorns?

2. The same question for Iron Maiden. Does it increase the dmg of Thorns?

Say a monster is Amp'd or Iron'd and it attacks a converted or revived with a Thorns aura. Does that dmg return from thorns increase with those two curses?

Amp damage does not remove physical immunity. It lowers physical resistance, even if the monster is immune; if the monsters happens to get below 100% resistance then the immunity is gone.

However, most physical immunes loose their immunity when amped. Not all of them, though.

Normally, physical resistance is lowered by 100%. Amp damage, like other resistance-lowering things, works less effective when the monster is immune, but I don't know the exact numbers.

It can also leave the monster with high physical resistance --- a 99% resistance monster is not immune, but you'll still have problems.

Since physical resistance is lowered, I don't see why damage from thorns shouldn't be increased.

Also, thorns and iron maiden are completely different things, so I would be surprised if they don't "stack".

So you think Iron and Thorns would stack?

I mean if you hit something that was Iron'd, you would take dmg. If you hit something that had a thorns aura you would take dmg. Wouldnt it equate to something like % of Thorns dmg + % of Iron dmg = Total dmg return?

A related question, which I find much more interesting :) is: if I amp a target, and my skellies are IMed... what is the actual damage returned to them? Does the IM apply to damage output (i.e. before resistances), or to "hitpoints removed from target" (i.e. after resistances), or something in between?

The Arreat states that physical resistance is fully effective against IM. So I would have to say that if you Amp a target and your Skellies are cursed with IM, the damage returned to your Skellies is calculated using the damage the Skellies do with Amp. So it would apply to hitpoints removed. I'm not entirely certain though.
