Crushing Blow or Life-leech?

Hi all,
I found a good socketed helm recently and I was wondering whether to place a rune that has life-leech or crushing blow in it? :scratch: (I intend to use it for my might merc.) I'm a level 84 skelliemancer just about to face Meph for the first time in hell difficulty. Please help! Thanks! I know that both will be helpful but I can't decide :cheesy: Though I'm at 84, I still consider myself a newb coz I just started a few months ago :lol:

amn has lifeleech for weapons, but it doesnt work in helms

edit: ber has CB, but it also does not work in helms

I see you've already posted this in the Newcomer forum. It's a bit frowned upon to double post the same question in more than one forum, just a friendly heads up.

You should bear in mind that life leach and crushing blow would not transfer to your skellies, they would only count for attacks you make.

You could go with plain old PTopaz for a bit of Magic Find - this will transfer to your skellies, hence the success of skelemancers as magic-finders.

He wants it for a merc, in which case MF won't transfer to your skellies. CB is a boss killer, life leech is overrated for the Necro, you have LT which works on any monster in the game (even the undead) to keep your merc alive.
