Ok. I've now gotten most of the baseline gear for my frost maiden, and so I'm going to focus my efforts on getting an Infinity merc. Of course, there's only one problem with that. Until now, I've avoided trading for HR's because so many (probably 90+%, I figure) are duped. Of course, no HR's means no Infinity, so my hand has been forced here.
To avoid poofing, my plan is to simply get the needed HR's one at a time and immediately throw them into my pole. Will that work? Like trading for a Ber, Mal, Ber, and Ist over a week or two? I guess it boils down to two questions.
It doesn't matter how long it takes, as long as you slot them in the right order, right?
And runes don't poof once socketed, right? (barring an active ruststorm, which is a pretty rare event)
