Crazy night

Tueday night may have been one of the most fun nights of my life. A friend of mine told me he had an extra back stage pass to the Papa Roach/Orgy concert that he got because he works for the venue. I've been into Orgy's music since Blue Monday came out so I jumped at the chance to go see them live. Well, when we got to the concert his boss asked us if we could fill in for a few people that decided not to come to work. Considering I got in the concert free, I agreed to guard the entrance to the VIP area in between sets while the regulars take a break. Once Orgy came on my friend told me we could go stand in the clearing between the audience barrier and the stage, a few feet from the band. Not a bad deal, I thought. I had the best seats money can't buy to see a great band.

Anyway, after the set I went back up to guard the VIP area. Orgy came out of the dressing room soon after and made for a room that had been stocked with refreshments (LIQUOR!:drink. Not long after that the band's assistant asked my friend and me to stand in front of the door and make sure no one got in but the band and their friends. It didn't take me long to say yes. Anyway, after a while of guarding the door one of the band members offered us both a Corona and invited us in. Since being a bouncer is thirsty work, I jumped at the chance. Anyway, for the next 4 hours we partied like rock stars with rock stars. At one point I was going shot for shot with Paige and Ryan, but I soon fell behind (and on the floor). All of the guys were really cool and didn't miss a chance to talk to fans. I figured they would act like brooding goths, but they're completely normal guys that know how to have fun. That night was awesome. I went to a concert expecting to just see a show for free, but ended up partying with a really cool band. You can't beat that.

Well, I guess I will share my craziest and most fun night, the night we lovingly call Cammo Night.

This night started of really slow. Blowout had been the night before (Blowout is the last day of classes here, where everyone gets smashed at like 8 in the morning and goes to classes drunk and drinking, and doesnt stop drinking till late night/early the next morning. Needless to say this is what I had done), and since finals were that week, noone really wanted to drink more, making excuses of wanting to study on Sunday.

Well, I didn't want to study, and nor did some guys I knew, who had four 40's called Cammos. So we decided to make the night 'Cammo Night'. Well, we first hit up our RA's roomie. Our RA, aside from being cool as **** about us drinking in a first year dorm, was in the ROTC, and thus had some cammo face paint. Well, we grabbed that, and began to paint each others faces, a la Braveheart etc. While painting we were getting drunk on the beer, as well as some Bacardi Gold which we had left over from the night before.

By this time, even the guys who before were griping about how they wanted to study for exams the next day decided to join in, and we had about ten guys. Well, we continued drinking and having general fun for about two hours, getting thoroughly drunk, and listening to songs by Tenacious D and other great bands like that =). Earlier in the day, one of the guys who had bought the 40's had gone to KMart, and bought about ten water guns. Well, as it seemed like a great idea at the time, we decided to have a water fight using the water guns. So we split the teams (US vs Iraq, since the war had just about started), and headed outside the dorm.

Well, the waterguns just didn't cut it, and there were girls around whose shirts needed wetting =), so me and a couple of guys ran inside and brought out some empty gatorade bottles, filled them up, and ambushed the other team. My team leader, this insanely funny guy had on the US flag boxers, and since he was the Us team leader thought it would be a great boost to our morale to run around in just these patriotic boxers to remind his team of their mission.

By the time we were done messing about and everyone was totally soaked, my team leader decided to give a speech. It was the funniest thing ever, him standing there in his boxers and a bucket over his head (as a cap). I have pics of this, which if I knew how to put them up would make this story so much funnier, as you would be able to see what I am talking about.

Well, after this we were sobering up, but not sober enough to think that a mission to steal a "Men At Work" sign from a train station nearby was a bad idea. Of course all the girls and sober people tried to stop us, but we were not to be stopped, after all, we had cammo on, so we were invincible =). So me, the funny guy, and this other friend of mine set out. It was raining now, and coupled with this was the added danger that the police station is right next to the train station. Nevertheless, we went right ahead with our mission. I was the lookout, while my friends went and cut the sign down. Right after they cut the sign down, and we were getting ready to go back we saw a person moving around and coming out of the train office, so we got scared and took of down the tracks, running as fast as possible.

We ran for a long *** time, and then started looking for an opening to the road that runs parallel to the train tracks. In one of the places we looked there was a dead carcass, where only the bones were showing. Of course we were like 'Holy ****, a dead human body', and took off as fast as we could.

Well, we got back to the dorm, with the sign, which my friend now has up in his apartment, and thus ended one of the most fun nights of my life. :teeth:

Well, I didn't want to mention it... but there was this one night where me and this girl I really liked stayed up until 11:30 listening to the "Grease" soundtrack... it was really groovy. :teeth:

Yep, they are still around. They haven't been on tour in 2 and a half years and had not put out an album in about 3, but they're still here. I didn't even know they had a new album until the other night, but I listened to some of it and it's pretty damn good.

Well, as it seemed like a great idea at the time, we decided to have a water fight using the water guns.

I've noticed that any time you can start a story with those words, it turns out to be one of the "good times."
