    Crafted stuff

I have never made a crafted item before and was wondering what magic abilities are available on crafted items.

Basically i want to know if it is possible to craft + to skill rings/amulets?

Skill ammies yes, even +2 if your lucky. Rings, no.

Blood items are the most common meh thinks. Leech is never a bad thing ;)

PS: crafted items are sometimes better than uber uniques, also try to make caster reciepes, they are cool, but notice you won't have good mods from the first time, need to craft a LOT

Any caster ring i craft is gonna be better than what i have found so far. Why is that when you are playing a certain character class you never find the items that are reallyuseful to your character.

It's amazing how often i find things with one character that are perfect for others, but never for themselves. And before i found ATMA it was a real pain to transfer items between characters!

    God bless ATMA!

the mods depend on what kind of amulet you are looking at making:

for a caster ammy, you can get -

    plus 1 - 2 skills
    fast cate rate
    regenerate mana
    strength
    dexterity
    resistance
    life
    mana

for a blood amulet, you can get -

    plus 1- 2 skills
    mana, life leech
    str
    dex
    resistance
    life

maybe some other minor mods like % chance to cast....

A friend of mine on bnet had crafted literally hundreds of amu's. His most godly was something like this:

    +2 barb skills
    4% ml
    5% ll
light res (about 20% if i remember correctly)
    ~40 life
    lvl 2 teleport charges

He used it for hc-duelling, absolutely deadly amu on a s/s barb :D

This is not really true. You can decide what item types to power shop, craft, gamble, socket, runeword and imbue to increase your chances to get items that are useful to your character.

    Never is a strong word.
Sometimes you actually get really lucky and that dream item drops in the game. Relish those moments.

Well, there are six other character classes than the one you play... :D

My first patriarch necromancer found two Titan´s Revenges and three rare Hyperion Javelins during his career that were better than the stack my javazon ended her career with...

I don´t transfer items between characters. I like the irony of finding great stuff for other classes. And it makes those moments when you get the "right" stuff all the more sweet. Those moments are the ultimate "high" points in my D2 playing experience, finding something that I feel will be very important for the rest of a character´s career. And the best situations are those when I only have a vague idea of that it is a really good item and it turns out that it is even better than I thought, when I identify it.

that was great luck. I never have good luck with craft. I've never crafted something worth to keep, guess I'm so anti-crafe. same with reroll, I wasted countless perfect gems, but never get anything worthy.
