Count runes

Hi. I dont get the way people count runes.. like 1 ist worth 2 pul and so on, and 4,5-6 ist!? Is there any info on the net that can tell me how to "count runes"?

That's a question for the trade value forum. It also depends a lot on your realm and whether it's ladder (where you can upgrade runes to Gul and where there are more runewords) or non-ladder.

Nolomite posted a very informative guide on trade values. in the useast trading section forum. he also posted on for last ladder which has more info but does not apply to this ladder but run prices up to gul are the same.

Think of it this way. Since it takes 2 pul to make an um. um no matter how good it is will never be worth 2 pul or people would just make it themselves(on ladder of course). So um is worth pul+. how much is the +? as close to um as people think they can get. typically pul lem(with maybe an amn or a hel or something smallthrown in) is worth about um. Ist can be made with mal mal. so no one would ever try to waste time trading 2 mal for ist(unlesss they just wanted to be nice) since they could just cube it. so ist= mal um pulor even mal um at the low end. and so on.
