Could this merc survive ubers?
I have three characters that I am concentrating building wealth on and eventually I'd like to outfit them the best possible for what I use them for. I currently am working on outfitting my Paladin and I've got pretty good gear for him. I might switch some things around, getting a Last Wish instead of my Grief PB and an Exile to replace my Sanctuary.
Anyway, this character doesn't have a merc at all and I've been pondering what would be the best route. I was generally thinking of going A2 Might with Infinity and putting the last several points in my paladin towards Resist Lightning for both the +max lightning resist and the synergy for Holy Shock so I could have dual dreams in my stash and go around zapping things for a rush or levelling lower characters as well as any non-UberTrist I'd like to do. I was planning on this because it's an established fact that mercenaries don't survive UT well.
But then I was thinking: What about an A5 Merc with a Eth Last Wish, Eth Up'd Guardian Angel socketed with either an Um or Ber depending on what Meph's conviction would do to his resists and, also depending on that, either a Crown of Ages (UmUm or BerBer) or an Eth Kira's (Ber).
Besides being a fairly kick *** merc, is it possible he'd be able to survive Ubers without being too potion intensive?
