Ahhhhh true... but then this is the OTF. We're an odd sort, we are. :teeth:
Good deal, and I didn't see your post listing the symptoms, because my phone rang while I was typing my response, and I was distracted. I just hope that Axurewrath is ok after it's all said and done. I was just writing from my own personal experience with diabetics, which is all I've got, so I'm glad that you pointed that out.dantose said:Type 1, the more likely given the average age around these forums, would actually present as him being UNDER weight. Medical stuff is sort of my bag
The destruction of the beta cells in type 1 generally does happen relatively early in life, that's why it's called childhood diabetes. Type 2 is generally linked to being overweight for an extended period of time. This would of course require you to be alive for an extended period of time. There are rare cases of type 2 that results from the insulin being slightly mutated and I imagine that specific form of type 2 could stike at any age but the general type 2 needs time for the receptors to build up a resistance to insulin.{KOW}Spazed said:My mom is the head instructor at Children's Mercy Hospital for Diabetes(long titel huh). I will ask her what the major signs of diabetes are besides going pee a ton. And Type 1/2 does not descriminate on age. . .they are almost equal in children and adults.
Even though it's probably nothing it's good that you checked it out.Axurewrath said:Well i just got home from school... and come to think of it i'm an idiot not to have tried drinking WATER >,< its probably nothing... but ill do something about it... thx for ur help guys

How does that work?Anyee said:If you're ever REALLY dehydrated, go for pedalyte or ensure or something like that. Pure water when you're very dehydrated can kill you.
It can make your blood hypotonic. this is the same reason IVs are never pure water.bigD73 said:How does that work?
