    Converted

    Hello All,

I've been playing this game since the dark ages of Diablo one. Infact, I even have it for the playstation.

I bought diablo 2 when it first came out, happly spending my 60$ for it, and then a year later for LOD.

I've been a life-long battle.net user. Infact, some say I could have been addicted. I played and I played. I remember even having all IK's Version 1.07(before they nerfed it) and then stopping and losing all of my stuff. I stopped playing right around V1.10 came out and stopped playing until my join date on this site. I've been a lurker on this site since, as far back as I can remember, and just decided to join when I started up again.

Shortly after I joined here, and started playing Diablo 2 LOD again, the hack came out where you could do baal in classic and several other hacks, and the constant changing in game play with the ubers, the dupes, and how stingy people can be. I decided that it was the last straw, and I quit again.

However, recently, I started back on this site, and started posting a little bit more, and I fell in love with Diablo 2 LOD. I installed it on my new VISTA laptop and its running fine. I currently have a Fishy Necro lvl 17 as of today.

Single Player is so much better. I can play alone. I don't have to worry about the ecomony (or lack their of), nor do I have to worry about MFing or getting rich to trade. I can simply sit back and cast.

I wanted to thank you all, for giving me a interest in this ancient game again and enjoying it for the entirity for the first time, and actually doing ALL of the quests, instead of rushing, I'm crawling through the game and leveling like your suppose to, using quests like your suppose too.

Its fun. Maybe one day, I'll get on open and get a hold of a few of you. Just maybe.

Welcome to the SPF! Here's a pair of shin-guards, you'll probably need them at some point. Check out the stickies, tournaments, etc, and get yourself a drink in the bar, it's all on Durf's card.

BTW - don't expect to MP with people from here on open - if you want to do that, check the MP forum at the top of the SPF.

    Re: Converted

Welcome! I hope you'll enjoy your stay and maybe even do some trading in the SPTF.

And as Skinhead said, watch out for the shin kickers and look out they don't remove your shin guards first, here you have some ultraglue, use it :wink3:

    Re: Converted

I doubt I'll be doing OPEN b.net anytime soon, for just doing SP is relaxing...not to mention I can pick it up in 90 days and not worry about my char being deleted.

    I do have a question:

could I put my char on a flash disk, as a back up, if so how do I that?

Just take the folder and copy into my flash disk and do that every so often, to keep up with the leveling?

Edit: I do play hockey, so I do have my shin guards ready and a cup.

    Welcome!

You only lose characters on closed battle.net. ;).

Yeah. Copy the 'save' subfolder from your Diablo II folder onto that flash drive every once in a while.

Bring a mask for them facelickers.

Shin kicking is a dying art, it is so rarely done properly these days.

Be sure to check out the stickies and use the /Players X command.

    Welcome to the forum.

Edit: And ATMA. There is no tool greater. It makes being a packrat and muling so easy.

No! Join me and dont mule every gem, rune, jewel, and rare off! Don't get me wrong, ATMA is very useful (I use for the drop calculator) but don't become a slave to it!
