Confused about IAS breakpoints on Zeal/Smite

So I got a Redeemer today. According to 1-pt smiter guide I'd need a Shael on it plus an additional 20% IAS to make it hit max zeal/smite speed, in other words 40% IAS in total (with fana 20 on).

But the IAS calculator claims I need 60% IAS for the last Zeal breakpoint and 55% IAS for the last Smite breakpoint.

So whats the case?

IAS on your weapon is different from IAS off weapon (from gloves, amulets, etc...). Make sure you're adding 20% to your weapon and 20% offweapon, and not just 40% offweapon

Well I can't add +20%IAS on the weapon itself on the calc, it says "only weredruid/barbarian/assassin" :S

aah i've used that one too... well I can't help you with the calculator then. you can always just count how many attacks you do in a second haha

im also facing the same problem. correct me if am wrong. but IAS need is accumulated from all gear EXCEPT weapon's IAS?.

The calc is correct in that weapon IAS only differs when you're using Whirlwind or attacking in morphed Druid form. For Zeal/smite, add up all your IAS from everywhere.

And it appears that there is a slight error in the guide:

Weapon. 2 sock heaven’s light. Ignore the +skills on it,it has to have 2 sockets so with the addition of 2xshael it will hit max smite/zeal speed with the use of fanaticism. Get the cheapest you can since you are poor. Low ed% and +2 skills will work fine, don’t worry.

Doesn't jibe with:

Weapon: Redeemer. It is cheap, get one with the highest +damage possible,it will make a difference. Shael it,and you’ll be needing an extra 20% ias from rest of the gear for max zeal/smite bp. I suggest a goldwrap belt and a 15%ias jewel on helm.

You do need 60% IAS to reach max zeal with a Mighty Scepter and 20 Fanat (55% for Smite).
