I dont have bias towards specific members. I dont play diabloII with anyone here, nor do I chat to off forum. Each time I make a judgement call, I try to make "the right one".

Regarding the duped items advocating guide...

Firstly this isn't against forum rules. Secondly I admit I am not up on what are common dupes anymore. I would be happy for the forum to discuss amongst itself the stance to take regarding guides with dupes. That doesn't mean you get to decide -- but if I see a heavy leaning towards allowing them, or disallowing them, I'm likely to go with that.

Regarding the stickies... I'm going to put a thread up later tonight.

How do I lay down the law? Well I can do both ways. Those of you who remember me from way back when will know I can be as tough as the situation calls for. In recent times I have tried to adopt more of a laissez faire attitude, and generally being mellow - but there is an element of trust here.

When I think I can trust the forum not to explode every 2 minutes, I'm more relaxed and laid back, and perhaps this shows through in my modding. When I'm having to make "jerry springer" style summary posts like this one... I'm not.

From now until things get back to normal I will be stricter. Its as simple as that.

Now a word or two at specific people...

Necrochild, HoS, and others. Try to go into every situation neutrally, and if you see a really frustrating thread (e.g same ol' noob questions, or whatever), just ignore it.

Planet_Smasher... You are a relatively new to the necro forum, and I think you have it in you to be a very constructive force. But not while you are taking it on yourself to lead a revolution against those you percieve as 'the vets'. It does no one any favours.

Guys, I ask you to lead by example - welcome the new guys; help them out where you can. Try to alter the culture here (if you feel its warranted) in a positive way, rather than by generating more strife.

Gjcraig and Rickcarson have been given a little cooling off time.. I will give anyone who continues to bicker, similar treatment.

Sort out your differences VIA "Private message", or ignore each others posts on the forum.

There will be no new OT thread until I feel this message has gotten through. If you want to contact me about anything -> PM me.

To this I would like to add that it is not my desire to antagonise the community, nor have I gone postal. I do want things to start over though, and for this to take effect I see no other option than a cooldown, prior to a restarting of such privelleges as a dedicated, stuck off topic thread, and so forth.

Tommorrow I will come home from work and assess the forums... if nothing else has blown up or collapsed I will try us afresh with a new off topic thread. The more I see things are calming back down, the quicker "normal service" will resume, and the less threads you will see locked.

To those of you who have been watching me for the past few minutes post and then edit stuff stick/unstick... it sometimes takes me a while to juggle things to my liking.

I dunno how I got wrapped into such a mess...I don't know why I'm kept being brought up...and referred to as a "troublemaker" ect. in ways that outshine the legendary Gvandale. Lately I've had more posts about me than I've posted total, been flamed 20x over for 1 flame post that was me aggressively defending a mocked subclass, (I apologize for misusing a certain acronymn). I know for some reason talking about this issue is thin ice, but it shouldn't be. Theres no reason for it to be.

Dropping it would be lovely, I apologize to the rest of the OTers and the rest of the forum because somehow someway I'm responsible for this trouble...

...now perhaps you should all bow down to SAM like good little maggots and follow his (my) every whim and we'd (I'd) all be better off.

Unfortunately I think that parties involved, and not involved are taking this sudden "lockdown" by DK hard...

I'll be the first to tuck tail and run from DK's heavy hand. Course I hope that DK can find it in heart to give us an OT thread soon... It seems that discussions are beginning to liven up.

I'm hoping my little boitch-slap of teh forum is going to go someway to keeping people civil, at least for a little while.

I am locking this thread now, so as not to be guilty of perpetuating events, and tommorow - providing all goes well, this thread will be unstuck.

I will also try to clean up and unlock threads which I think are salvagable.
