Complete this Frenzy End Game Gear

I've got a plan for a new Frenzy Barb and will be using/have the following gear:

Helm: 6% LL 195% Arreats
Armor: ?????
Gloves: 9%LL Draculs
Belt: 34/15 Dungos
Boot: 195% Gore Riders
Ring 1: 5% BK Ring
Ring 2: Ravenfrost
Amulet: Highlords
Weapon 1/2: BK Set Swords

The obvious thing missing here is Armor. I'm not sure what armor should be used. Things I'm missing are resists and mana leech. Don't bother with the new runeword armors, they're unaffordable to me right now.

The question for you guys: What are some good end-game suggestions for equipment to help this guy out.

Things I'm considering:

changing swords - Fury BBs? Death in phase? Oath in phase? Grief in phase? GF?

Armor - high DR Leviathan? Duress? I def. need more suggestions here!

Post your advice. It's much appreciated!!

I always liked COH for my pvm Frenzy barb. The +2 skills and +200% damage to demons makes it great for baal running games. Duress is good for the CBlow and the defence is reasonable too. The Leviathan would be great for the high defence and Dr although personally i think Frenzy barbs can do without great DR if you have enough life leech and fast enough attack speed, life, etc.

The BK set is terrible for weapons because of the Knockback. It will kill you. The only Rune word that is any good to be put in a phase blade out of your suggestions is Grief and IMHO duel GRIEF's would make a great pair of swords. I've always liked BOTD for its leech, speed and +30 attributes mods but find whats best for you. Oath would be better in a higher damage sword such as a CB. Death would either be too slow in a CB or too little damage in a Phase. (and still not really good attack speed)

use any swords other than those two, the rest of the gear doesn't matter if you're saddled with those crap weapons

Point taken on the BK Set swords. I'll pawn those off. Anyone have an opinion on the Fury runeword? The +5 Frenzy looks real nice, but does it stack up against the lower Enh. Dam?

I'm thinking of starting dual Oaths and moving up to an Oath CB and a Grief Phase. I might use death in a phase later on when I can afford it for the glacial spike, which I think would own everything.

Thanks for the advice on the DR %. I'll probably go with Duress for the time being until I can afford Fortitude or CoH. CoH will probably help out a lot with resists, but until then, what else could I use?

Until CoH you could use Naj Armor. Cheap armor to get. It has +1 skill, + life and mana, dmg goes to mana and resistances.

Personally, I am planning to make a PvM Frenzybarb (or blenderbarb or any other endearing moniker you with to give the build) that would dual weild Fury (perhaps my favorite runeword; my zeal pali uses a fury myth sword) Balrog Blades.

Fury BBs' rocked hardcore style in 1.09, and I see little reason for that to have changed. Sure other weapons can dish out more damage and some are faster; many however lack the combination of ITD (for mobs), bonus to attack rating (for bosses), deadly strike (double damage is always good, try coupling DS with atma's scarabs amp damage for a sick 4x damage), almost maxed Open wounds (on higher life monsters, like Baal, the damage from OW really begins to add up), LL, Prevent monster heal (needed for d clone), and if you dual wield them a pretty substantial +10! Frenzy (which adds +50% damage to the skill).

If anyone has any real reason not to use Furys I too would like to know.

Edit: Take into consideration that i pretty much only play non-ladder on west.

A cheap and good armor could also be Lionheart, gives great stats,life and resists boost.. Did i mension it's cheap?

I used dual Fury BBs in 1.09, and my biggest complaint was that they always needed to be repaired and were quite expensive to do so.

But that's really just a playstyle preference - if you don't mind repairing your weapons every 5-10 minutes then go for it. But it was enough of a detraction for me that I now always give my Frenziers indestructible weapons.

True dat, true dat. My zeal pali uses a fury mythical sword, and as you may or may not know zeal eats weapon duribility like nothing else and the Fury costs about 70k to repair 3 dur.

hi well imo for pvm i'd go coh and botd/beast expensive yes but oh so sweet!
if u got fury wpns they should be ok, but plz dont wast a jah+gul rune making
a fury wpn!
oath is a nice runeword also for the runes it costs to make and stormlash also
earn a mention.
