Collector's edition help

Please don't laugh, but I have the D3 collectors edition. I recently installed the D2 and LoD games and I tried getting on Battle.net. I get an error message that says "Unable to properly verify application version". I went to the customer support that it directs me to and there is basically no information there. I can't find anything on the net either.

Can you not play D2 on Battle.net anymore or is there something wrong with my game?

Also, I just realized that its version 1.12...not 1.13. Is this the reason why? I went to Battle.net and can't find a dl for the latest version. Where do I get it?

From which source are you installing the game?

A CD installation works like this:

1. Install the core game, then the expansion. You are at patch level 1.07 then.
2. If the graphics test fails during the installation, start it as admin (D2VidTst.exe in the game folder, right-clicking it opens a context menu with "run as admin").
3. Start the game as admin, connect to bnet and the latest patch will be installed (without asking you for a confirmation... which sucks IMO, but that's a different topic).

Further starts as admin aren't needed.
