CoA Help Hammerdin

I got a CoA now but I don't know how to socket it for my hammerdin

1. Socket it with a 7fhr/-15req jewel + ber and stay no strenght build
2. Socket it with 2xBer and invest 16 points in strenght ( this means I can use an eni AP instead of the MP too I think )

Which option is best?

16 points in str means you would lose around 90 hp. Which one you think will benefit you more, 8% dr or 90 hp? If the extra str allows you to switch to ap, i'd almost go for it, that's easily couple thousand more defense.

I my self went with -15/[email protected] jewel and ber.

Ber Coa (23) + Enigma (8) + Verdungo's (15) gives 46 DR, methinks socketing another Ber is a waste as it only gives 4 DR. You can still hit 125 FCR with wizzy, spirit, magefists, and 20 FCR ammy (or 10 FCR ammy + 10 FCR ring).

Of course if your gear isn't perfect in the DR respect you may want to put the second Ber in.

I was following this guide http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=537153 which uses CoA 2xBer and archnid mesh as belt. I was thinking of pvp with just 38 DR ( 14 DR CoA :tongue: ) and equip dungo against a good windy for max DR.

Is what you guys recommened better than what Korean's 1v7 PvP guide suggests then? :smiley:

I think 10 FHR, quite a bit of life and 15 DR beats the +1 skill on the Arach's. Normally people use skillers to get hammer damage to around 10k. The 40 vit from dungo's = 120 life which is 80 more life than if you used Arach's and one less skiller. So even if Dungo's only gave +40 vit it'd still be superior to Arachnid's, assuming you have enough FCR to make up. In addition Dungo's gives 15 DR and 10 FHR, so it's superior.

Found an old post about verdungo vs. arach setup.

Some numbers:

arach, 2x bk rings setup: +3 skills, 100 non bo able life, 20 fcr, 9x 20 life scs = 180 bo able life.

verdungo, 2x 10 fcr / 15 dex / 40 life rings: 80 boable life from rings, 90 boable life from the dex you saved, 120 non boable life from verdungo, 15% dr, 3x 40 life pcs = 120 bo able life and +3 palacombat sks and 20 fcr.

Conclusion:

With level 20 bo first setup grants you 445 life, +3 skills, 20 fcr.

2nd setup with 17 level bo: 650 life, +3 pc skills, 20 fcr and 15% dr.

Like said, verdungo setup is superior to arach setup, if you can afford nice rings and palacombats with life.
That's with pretty much perfect gear, but still the verdungo setup is better, even with abit worse rings.

Ok, thanks. I want 2 free ring slots for absorb which means I have to go craft a 2/20 amulet. That will keep me busy for a while :scratch:
