Aehm, thsi is an easy one.

Cold Mastery reduces enemy resistances, nothing else.
So they get hit by the damage from your cold-armors and that damage is cold damage so, since their resitances are lowered this will mean more damage dealt. ;)

Which of the Cold Armors will you be using?

    well all 3 of course!

Oh by the way SCWEET!! This means ill be an awsome punch bag

first of all they all give synergies for one but if you ment which one in combat then shiver for melee and the other for range. I find that the range one actually oddly even makes it almost imposible for arrows/javs to hit you.

    actually...

I am sure that chilling/freezing duration is altered by a monster's cold resistance. Thus if they have a high cold resistance you chill for a shorter time, and cold mastery can help with this.

If you want to test this, take a character with level 1 frozen armor (the first level one) and a high level cold mastery and play around in act 5 normal. See how long things get frozen for.

Hey can I ask a question? Does chilling armor make enemy projectiles miss you?
Sometimes it seems like the projectiles don't hit at all, as if it was converted into an icebolt and fired back at them.

    Can some pro tell me?

You will get hit, but you may not get the damage from the hit, so it might look like its returned.

@Alkanine LOL, hmm wonder how she will do in Hell? ;-P

I am actually doing something like this too

Only I am going for a tank sorc idea with a basic attack.
    ------------------------------------------
As Much Damage reduced by as possible...
As Much Magic Damage reduced by as possible...
    50% DMG reduction
    75% Resists
    70% Block
    1 pt in Eshield ~ 70% with + skills
    20 pts in Telekinisis
    20 pts into Frozen Armor
20 pts into Shiver Armor ~ +300% Enhanced Defense, 600 cold damage per swing. (a hit isn't nessisary)
    20 pts into Frozen Orb
    Rest into Cold Mastery

    Using...
Storm Shield sockted w/ p diamond
Nightwing Viel socketed with Sol rune
Gladiator's bane socketed with +15 resist jewel
    String of Ears
    Occy socketed with cold facet.
    2 sojs.
    Either the duped Fletch amulet
or a very nice Magic Amulet of Life Everlasting (Damage reduced by 24)
Ideal Amulet would be a +3 cold skill of life everlasting.
    SandStorm Trek boots or maybe
    4 cold skillers.
Weapon Switch would have a wand of lower resists to increase dmg even more possibly.

    What do you think folks?

If someone gave you money or you ran around and opened chests you could get attacker takes damage mods. Giving you a cheap low level thorns. At least until you have a merc.

well Actually the other guys right since I didnt worry about attacker takes damage I did have to wait till lvl 6 actually. Frozen armor could kill some of them from shatter but other then that ya lvl 6 but that only took till the cold plains so still pretty much without hitting anything give me a break

I figured you probably did attack things, but I was saying if you really wanted to be principaled about it. It would work.
