Clear up please

Hi,

Just made my first smiter lvl 71 ATM

smite maxed
holy shield maxed
fantasism maxed
currently putting rest of points into defiance

But what I want to know is does the ED from weapons count to smite? Because atm my smite is about 900-1k damage and I dont know how this figure will go much higher. I currently have 75% chance of crushing blow.

Would somone mind explaing how i can get more base damage not more CB.

No it doesn't. You need +ed% on an item besides your weapon (fortitude armor, steel rends) or a weapon with the "+xx damage" mod (Grief is the only one I can think of at the moment.).

EDIT: IIRC, Grief Phase Blade + Fortitude armor + Herald of Zakarum = ~4000 average smite damage. With appropriate skills of course.

Vengeance works the opposite way. That's a bit strange

This might be misleading. The skills I had were: 1 Smite, ~24 Holy Shield. Maxed Smite should give even better results. I think the strength was about 200.
