    Class Speculations from a Web-developer

First of all, I apologize if this has been brought up elsewhere. I did a search but wasn't able to find anything.

I'm a web-developer and that simple thing leads me to believe strongly, that the fifth class will be Rogue. It could be another class entirely, with a similarly short name, but I'm sticking with Rogue for now. My assumption is that Blizz designed the Classes page around five classes, so I used Firebug (an addon for Firefox that allows me to make real-time updates to the HTML of any page) to add the fifth class to the page. Rogue fits perfectly. Anything longer and 'Back to classes' (part of the same UL) gets pushed down, messing up the design.

Anyway, that's my thoughts on the matter.
    Thanks for your time.

Considering that different letters have different widths, that's incorrect. A better way to mock me, would have been to say that we know that the name of the fifth class is roughly the same width as the word rogue. Nomad (picked this because it's 5 letter and I've ween a fan-class of it) would be too long.

The word Rogue fits almost perfectly, leaving only two unused pixels. Could it be another class and could I be wrong? Of course, but I was under the impression that this forum was for speculations, which this is.

Sorry if I was wrong... dood.

i wasnt mocking you, i dont know if saying good job dood in denmark comes across as mocking, but i didnt think it was.

perhaps ask me if im mocking you, before saying i am. i genuinely thought it was a good thread with effort, and where you had noticed something like that/thought to carry it out.

I apologize then, sincerely this time. It can sometimes be hard to tell without a smiley here and there. I also do tend to lash out a little too quickly, justified or not. We all got our flaws, I just flaunt mine a little too often. :)

    I am sorry.

its not a problem , i could do with being more clear.

i think this thread only goes toward affirming the beliefs it is a rogue. ofc the letter sizing and two pixels short doesnt help but generally whatever it is, its a small word.

I completely disagree with the OP. The point made in my opinion, is totally irrelevant.

Not even the screenshot convinced me. :)

Re: Class Speculations from a Web-developer

Actually, it's a relatively good point, to some extent...

Nevertheless, rogues won't come back... Simple... Blizz said it, we can't go against it...

Of course, it will be something similar...

Perhaps Hunter, it's almost the same length... Or Nomad, or Ranger... or even BARD :whistling: [actually no... I don't really want a bard]

On the other hand, it can't be long word things like eh: "Inquisitor" "Adventurer" "Amazon", "Rainbowmancer", etc. It's actually an interesting point

Anyways... when updating they could just change the font size a bit, so in that case the point you made might not be so great...

I think so too. What you assume is that they know the names the minute that website went online - unless there is some sort of update I missed. So then they knew all 5 classes from the start.

I don't think this is the case. They really didn't know all the names right from the start.

Blizzard could easily lie.... no one is forcing them to tell the truth. They could of just dropped that in there as a placeholder until they place in the images.

However, given that the dev team decided to use the barbarian, sorta seems likely that they would fall back on a Diablo original. Plus, lets consider a male rogue... A sister of the sightless eye? He would have to be something else. Or the order opened up to both sexes after they were almost wiped out in D2. It adds an additional spin and a different story, much like the female barbarian.

Re: Class Speculations from a Web-developer

I'm split on the rogue. I kinda want that to be the 5th character cause they would be a staple across the entire series of games. I kinda don't want that to be the 5th character cause it would just be a boring announcement when they finally reveal it and we've had such a lack of any significant news that I'm hoping for something interesting.

As for the male rogue they don't have to be from the same order. There could be a male order of rogues and it wouldn't change the story much. The brotherhood of the missing pants or something like that.

What was the joke somebody used to call the male Rogues? Brothers of the Tasteless Tongue? :rolf:

Them Blizzard folks are cheaters, changing link text like that. CHEATERS I TELL YA!!!

*ahem* Yeah, I was wrong... Isn't the first time and won't be the last. :p

Don't really mind being wrong, though. Demon Hunters are kinda badass.

I think they are the weakest class out there. Their mobilitysystem is awkward. With their *vault* *vault* *vault* *vault*
It's like *you no catch me* *you no catch me* *you no catch me* BAM X.X *you catch me*
