    After Tal's MeteOrb Sorc and Aldur's Semi-Wind Druid, here is the 3rd installment...

    I spent most of the day questing him from Hell Act 2 to 5.

    Played /p8 for Normal and Nightmare, the usual.
    Then /p4 from Hell Act 1 to last Waypoint in Act 4 (just before CS).
    Wanted to try /p4 all the way for Hell but died 2 or 3 times in CS that I was forced to accept /p1. Ancients killed me 3 times before I even realize why. I was only lucky in the 4th try when none of the 3 spawn FE.

    All in all, a fun build. It was actually easy. And with enough patience I think he can go /p8. I just can't understand why the moment I can use Naj's staff, I lose my patience and just TP most of the game away... humm, maybe I sould stop using Naj's...

    Hell Hellforge landed a Hel, which made me go... what the H*ll!!!! :lol:
    Good drops from all of Hell (all today):
    M'avina's Embrace (CS, either Doom Knight or OK)
    Widowmaker (Pindy)
    The Hand of Broc (Pindy)
    Biggin's Bonnet (an Armor stand in either Crystalline or Glacial)

    Diablo: Ghoulhide (eth) and Green Sabre among other useless stuff
    Baal: Undead Crown... he's really trying to make a statement.

    Weird thing I encounter for the Character...
    Why is it that when I use Captain's GCs with him, the skill level increases but the -resist stays at -150% and -defense increase by just 1 or 2 (that's 4 skillers, iirc)? I just assumed there was a cap to the -resist so I went with Lionbranded GCs instead. :scratch:


    Next will probably be the IK WW Barb.

    nice char :) and as you found out yourself the cap on -res on conviction is -150%

    so no point taking it higher then that with +skills

    Congrats on your Pat. I'm also hoping to someday have a ful Griz Paladin. Don't know which build I want to use, but since I don't have the Caddy yet its sort of a mute point anyways. :lol:

    Thats right convictions -res caps at 150... Since you didn't invest heavily in vengance I'd try for a rare +2 pally ammy with ML. I too opted of a HF merc on my first trip around, but am currently lvling a might merc in act 1 hell. OHKO's rock :D the rest of the builds should be a walk in the park. God speed! :thumbsup:

    I was trying to keep the mana requirement down so I didn't put more points into Vengeance, until I max Resist Cold first. I'll try finding an ammy like that in my stash and test the difference. Thanks!

    Might merc... umm, will the added damage from the aura have an added damage from Vengeance? If so, equipped with Reaper's Toll, maybe that would make things easier.

    Oh, and what's "OHKO"? :teeth:

    Congrats on the Pat! By the way, OHKO is an acronym for one-hit knockout. I've heard it used to describe boxing, but most of the time it means a one hit kill in a game.

    I'm sorta working on an Avenger. My only question is: In what order did you decide to max your res auras? Did you alternate between them, or what?

    That's cool! I really should try one soon! gg OHKO! :D

    Every 2 points I invest in either 3 (I want to see the change in resist immediately, so I wait every 2 points, but of course not necessary), I just balance it. Anyway, I doesn't matter cause at this point you'll still be in Normal or NM so resist is not that critical. Until all 3 reach slvl 10. I think I reached that in early/mid-NM.

    Then I went with maxing Fire all the way first. I'm wearing Tgod's so Lightning can wait for a while. After Fire, went with max lightning. And then he's maxing Cold now.

    If you don't invest too much in Vengeance (say not more than 7-9), you can max Lightning before you encounter those Gloams, iirc. Good luck! :thumbsup:
