    Chilling-Shiver -Frozen Armor Question

    Hey everyone!

This might be noobish, but for a Meteorb sorc, would it be useful to get one of the cold armors, since it gives defense bonuses and that way maybe I wouldn't have to to get 75% block from adding dexterity points?Or am I missunderstanding it at all? thanks!

Honestly, unless you're really focusing hard on defense, you'll never have enough to mitigate hits the way you can with 75% block.

The real usefulness of the ice armors is their secondary effects such as the freeze the enemy receives after hitting you with chilling armor or the damage they take with shiver armor.

If you stack them with a defiance merc they might be more useful, but you're probably better off pushing for 75% block.

If you insist on using a cold armor, go with Shiver Armor. Unlike Frozen Armor, it slows monster's very first attack, giving you time to escape it by teleporting away. Frozen armor triggers already when a monster had landed a hit on you - which might be a tad late. Chilling armor... Well, it's useless - it only "anwers" ranged and magical attacks. Ranged attacks you cannot do much with, and magical attacks cannot be blocked anyway.
