    how exactly does this block missiles ? is there a formula ?

    It has the appearance of blocking missiles but it was proved that it doesn't really and it's just slight lag or whatever.. You'll have to search a specific thread that had tests

    we have to be really aware of gear when trying to test this. MDR/PDR can completely negate some attacks but the response bolt will still fire. in th above video the sorc is sayin "unh" with each firing of the bolt....Is she being hit and negating all the damage? or is it a fruity bug that she makes the pain noise when not being hit?

    in this video there is no deflection at all.

    I would be curious to see someone test this with an enemy sorc casting hydra, to see if multiple incoming bolts are any different
