childhood cartoon-kid shows
this is a thread for childhood cartoon-kid shows (NOT recent ones, i'm talking before ~2000).
here's some that i really liked that, unfortunately being american, the cartoon-kid shows never got the length or finished that they deserved:
1. jayce and the wheeled warriors
2. red planet
3. pirates of dark water
4. exosquad (i still remember the term NEOsapiens. new humans)
5. he-man and the masters of the universe
6. king arthur and the knights of justice
here's some really good cartoon-kid shows:
1. gargoyles (i'm half shocked disney did this. it's completely different than anything disney has ever done, though it does has the sappy disney elements here and there. i really loved this)
2. TMNT (the original cartoon series)
3. batman the animated series. best batman cartoon-kid show. (was "dark" for a cartoon. more grown up and serious and "dark" and without "sappiness"). (THIS is the comic of batman where raz a ghoul comes from in batman begins movie. if u liked batman begins movie try to find this cartoon as it has an entire saga with/of/about raz al ghoul)

raz al ghoul is like the devil/anti-christ (actually he is like god's "hand of justice" who does the dirty work for god and smites evil humans or their cities or civilizations) and he is rejuvinated by special volcanoes with green lava (these volcanoes are called lazarus pits). raz is like thousands of years old (which was briefly referenced in batman begins: something like this "rome grow decadent and we (raz and his organization) destroyed that evil city". i think this was when he burnt batman's house down, but maybe not. talking about how gothim has become currupt like ancient cities and needed to be destroyed). well raz al ghoul makes batman his apprentice (just like in begin begins). at the time raz al ghoul is old and weak and dying. batman sees him as wise and a mentor (just like in batman begins). raz's wife tricks batman into helping raz get to a lazarus pit. at the very end of the comic series, it shows batman as an old man and dying. well batman gets taken to a lazarus pit and rejuvinated and defeats some threat to the world (i forgot. it's been a long time).
the lazarus pit has a side effect though. you're filled with rage and anger, as well as the rejuvination and strength. anyways. the comic has a lot devoted to raz al ghoul as he is the main villian.
while not a cartoon, it is a kid show that i really liked:
1. Are You Afraid of the Dark? (an old nickolodean ghost story show series)
not a cartoon or a kid show, it is a show i liked (hey i was/am a science "geek"):
