check your mule accounts!

i just logged on to one of my mule accounts and discovered that all of my mules had perm'd themselves o__O all of my accounts now have permd mules, only 5 of my mules were permd before but now every single one of my characters that had the 10 day timer on them are now permanent! i even logged on to my friends account to check his mules, and there perm'd too! log onto your mule accounts and tell me if they have permd themselves, this could be some freak accident at battle.net or a horrifying lag dealy. hopefully this sticks around!!!

My 5 chars permed yesterday;I was then surprised and thought of a bug of battle.net
My accounts are on UsWest non ladder

I wouldn't know if mine are permed or not, since they've never showed a 'your character expires in xx days' thing.

If they had permed, then the Expires in XX days would be gone.


...Err maybe you knew that and were just being funny or sarcastic ?

Aye never :) And the expiration days don't show on anyone elses accounts on my computer either. Odd.

That's odd. But I do remember some other poeple on here saying the same thing.

If you go over to SuggestiveNames place and use his comp, do yours show? Or Do his Exp in xx dayus show on his comp and not on yours ?

Well when Suggestivename comes over to my place, his accounts don't show their expiration, but they do on his computer. I don't know if mine shows on his comp, maybe I'll ask him to try it tonight.

So far I've kept my mules alive by logging into them every few days.

I knew my ears were burning, after hacking usufruct's accounts, I can clearly see on my computer that 2 of his mules expire in 6 days.

Evidently this is a problem with the computer not the account.

Some computers will not display the days to expiration. I have seen this happen with the same connection but different computers.

One computer will show the expiration of X days but, if you unhook that computer and plug in another it does not have that display.

As far as any of my mules suddenly becoming burned in on their own, I would not know how that happened. Most of my mules are level 35.

there was a thread recently, where someone thought his mules were expired, but later found out, that his system time had been changed. I've tested that myself, the "expires in xx days" is calculated using the files on your disc and the local time, not actually the characters on bnet.

So maybe a computer that doesn't show the expiration date has some increased security settings that doesn't allow diablo.exe to check the system time and/or the files stored on harddisc

oh, and I'm speaking about the expiration message only, of course the system time has no influence on if an character is expired or not

Update:my 5 chars aren't permed anymore;i hadn't noticed that the clock of my computer had been changed,so that's why.. i guess

my chars are still unpermed, but my main char that was already premed says that its expired!!! and that's NOT cool.
