I usually post in D3 or D2 Strategy sections, but I thought I'll share this fun flash game I found:
Can you beat my guy?
[How to play:]
You simply pick a name and a look you like for your character and click Validate. The system will roll a random stat to your char and you fight from there. All fighting is automatic. The fun comes from leveling up and rolling superior skills/pets/weapons/specialties. For each level up, you gain one of either talent/weapon/pet.
Give it a try.
I may as well come up with a general guide.
[Stats:]
Strength: Deals more damage
Agility: Not so sure actually... you can dodge more or armor rating?
Speed: Faster speed = take turns more often
[Special Talents/Skills:] They're pretty self-explanatory as they have descriptions. STR, AGL, SPD boosts, faster attack speed, armor, weapon mastery, evasion, health potion, bomb, vitality boost, etc... to name a few.
[Weapons:] Sometimes you land weapons instead of talents. I think Weapons are better because the immediate benefit you get from it is very big.
Small sword: 8-9 damage
Skinny dagger knife: 9-10 damage + you do double to triple hits often.
Baton: 10~ damage
Small trident: 8-10 damage
Trident spear/Schimtar/Broad sword: 10-15 damage
Mace: 15-20 damage
Ninja Star: 3-5 damage but you throw anywhere between 3-10 times (very annoying to opponents!)
Axe: 20-25 damage
Fat caveman club: 30-40 damage but you have a very high chance of missing (50%~)
Whip: Also a good weapon. Deals 12-18 damage + you do double to triple hits often
Serrated blade: This one is awesome- 30-40 damage that lands often
Chained macelets on a stick: The best I've seen so far. Deals 45-50 damage.
Stone Hammer: I JUST saw this on a high level dude (level 49). It deals 70-80 damage appx. (He actually dealt 113 with 30 strength points)
Some wacky weapons:
Trumpet: 15-20 damage
Japanese fan: 10 damage
Keyboard: 10~ damage
A dead baby chick: Same as Ninja Star but deals about 80-100% more (6-10 damage)
[Pets:] Pets are awesome as they can soak up damage for you and take additional turns attacking opponent
Dog: Attacks for 3-6 damage. Can do multiple attacks up to 3. 20HP~ (I think pretty useless)
Wolf: Attacks for 8-10 damage, Can do multiple attacks up to 3. 40-50HP
Bear: If you get bear, you won the lottery of the roll. Deals 25-30 damage. I don't know bear's HP, never seen it die.
I guess a perfect roll to level 3 would be getting a bear, then chained macelets with vitality talent. Or I even saw a sick dude with TWO pets. A wolf + bear. That's crazy.
