Cheap Equipment for Fire Sorc?

I made a pure Fire sorceress as a hell forge rushee, but I'm thinking of holding on to her. However, I don't want to spend anything on equipping her, so what do you advise?

So far I have this:

Lore War Hat
Leaf Staff with +3 Static Field, +2 Shiver Armor
Magefist

I also threw on her a dwarf star and a raven frost that I had lying around since her resists are quite abismal. I'm thinking Vipermagi for armor, maybe some 3% (i.e. cheap) bk rings? Not sure about boots or whether I want to switch to weapon/shield. I'm looking for biggest damage without spending more than, say, pul-um value on items.

Currently doing about 2.6k fireball at level 46.

Ideas?

Hexfire sword and Viscerataunt shield will add 4 more skill points
Peasant Crown is better then lore... gives ya faster run and some life in addition to energy
Vipermagi has faster cast and +skills..... Ormus could be nice too if you find a lousy one for cheap and just use it for the +xx% fire damage
You should be able to find a +3fire skills ammy for not too much

Those BK rings will cost you well over Pul-Um .... so if that's your limit, scratch those off your list... not sure what rings would be nice for cheap, maybe just some manalds to help with mana you suck up from shooting fireballs?

Replacing the Lore hat with a peasant crown sounds like a good idea. I'll also go ahead and try to find me a cheap Ormus. I'm expecting it to cost me around lem-pul.

As for the ammy, I'm thinkin a low rising sun amulet shouldn't be to hard to get. I'll be losing out on 1 fire skill point versus a +3 fire skills ammy, but the big fire absorb will go a long way in helping my hugely negative resists.

The leaf runeword staff currently gives me +3 fire skills, and the staff I used had +3 to static and +2 to shiver armor, to active these for me. I'm thinking of maybe making a memory runeword staff. I'll get +3 to all, 33% fcr, Static Field activation, and if I find the right staff, a teleport activation. Right now I don't have a single point placed outside the fire tree and I'd like to keep it that way. The hexfire and viscerataunt will give me +4, but I won't have anywhere else to activate those one-point wonders (static+teleport).

I tried trading for a couple of tri-resist 10% fcr rare rings yesterday but they were way overpriced. Maybe it was just a bad trading day. I'll try again today.

Might look into picking up a Nord's for a pretty nice weapon. My enchanty's got one and it clobbers NM. Hell is definitely more work, though. Vipermagi would be the way to go for armor to get the FCR, resists and +1 skills. I've got one on mine and love it.

Caster rings are going to be pricey. Especially the ones you're eyeing. I've seen some rather questionable 10% fcr rares go plenty high for merely having a decent dex or str boost with some other measily stats.

As for boots, I'm fond of the Sandstorm Trek's. They're pretty cheap if you aren't getting ethereal ones, give you a huge pr boost and give dex and str. Good stuff ;)

If you're using this Sorc for tele-rushing, you may want to look into getting a Shako if you can. Enchantress's typically don't put any points in energy (unless you're going the e-shield route) so your mana would be pretty low (though your regen would be great ;) )

Load up on gold find and gamble em your self. Thats how I got mine.

Crafting caster rings is also a way to get good mods.

Just an update and question. I lucked out a couple of days ago, the same day I made my last post on this topic in fact, and in the space of 3 meph runs found a lidless wall, a hexfire, and a fal. Right after that I also lucked out in finding someone that wanted to trade an average icebolt ormus robes for a fal.

My question is this, now that I've given up the staves, will I be able to get by fine without static or teleport? I know that I can get by with one of the cold armors, but I'm not sure about static or teleport. I'm thinking that I'll look for a staff with teleport on-board and make a memory runeword in it, which gives static. I'll put that on switch for when I need those skills.

Comments?

You are ALWAYS better off with a point invested in teleport and frozen armor. Static field.... well maybe not if you went the vita route as you probably wont last long enough close enough to use it. If you went block route yes a hard point in static.
