charged strike question

i plan on making an amazon soon and i was wondering what adds more damage to charged strike, maxing the actual skill its self or a synergy (such as lightning fury)?

if it helps at all im going to have about +7 charged strike and +10 light fury

any help is apperciated

Without +skills, you get the highest damage by adding to Charged Strike directly up to skill level 16, from then on, switch between the synergy and the skill. If you have +skills, subtract them from 16 to get the level you should start adding to your synergy - so with +7 skills, spend a point in a synergy for every point you spend in the skill from skill level 9.
