Charged Barb

Charged Barb

Ok, I was trying to think of interesting characters to build, and I had a thought - what about a Barb with lots of charged items?

The build would be based around 5 items
Wolf Howl (Fury Visor)
Stone (runeword)
Tomb Reaver (cryptic axe)
Wisp Projector
Carrion Wind

Other possibilities, Beast (for Grizzley)

Now, here is my question. Seeing as these are charges, are they still limited by the same rules as Druid regular summons? Can you have a grizley summoned with the wolves? Just wondering - thanks for any help!

And please, no "where did you get those runes" comments - This is just a preemptive friendly "you know where I got those runes" :) - please don't ask.

um.... unless you are gonna use the gold exploit mentioned in a thread below somewhere... you have no chance :D the charges will cost you billions and billions of gold to repair

All summons from charges follow the same rules as summons from their native classes (ie. only one Druid wolf type or bear, one Golem, one Valk, one Shadow, etc.)

And you will need a rune mining operation to keep those things charged too :)

What do you mean? Are you saying you are using downloaded/hacked runes?
I am confused, is it now OK to used hacked gear?

Not really, but we do have a policy of 'do what you want on your own pc' so long as he isn't posting to trade publicly with hacked items, and/or making false claims about legitness (i.e., lieing about where they come from), or saying how he did it. Many will follow up with: 'most here will now not trade, nor MP with you'.

I recall posts by members who hacked out items or resists to test builds, etc- people did not complain when extensive testing was done through hacks to determine the dmg of the FE bug on the ancients.

On topic- interesting set of builds, if, as noted, prohibitively expensive for most players, esp. ones who don't dupe. I see this as sort of the uber pally builds/experiments that show up on the pala forum 'bothd zerker axe for zealot????' type threads.

anywho, just my two ccs

I can see your point, but I think that if the SPF wants to be known a legit community then things like this are going to have to be stamped out. The fact that no-one apart from me has questioned him about the hacked runes speaks volumes about the SPF's stance on hacking etc...

Muffassa has freely admitted hacking runes and depositing them in forum-based multiplayer games with no consequences of any sort... that speaks many more volumes to me than a lack of general outrage regarding his "antics." it seems that even though we say "keep it on your own computer," that isn't necessarily the case.

No, we aren't going any where again.
I've been banned because of him once, I'm not going to say any more except that I don't think that this sort of blatant hacking should be tolerated.

@whomhead- there was a bit of outrage, and people on both sides got in trouble for it, so let's please not go back to it.

edit: ah heck, never mind, it ain't worth it...EMB sounds like a good idea!!!
