Char lvl and vendor shoping list

I'm trying to get Lancer's Gaunlets of Alacrity from Anya on hell with 84 lvl char.
I've spent several hours and have done 1000+ anya trade list changes by coming to her tp and back (this gloves are alweys gold-yelow color, it goes from Alactiry mod, so it takes ~3 sec to do 1 list check). That was realy boring and I've only got gloves +3 bow +20 ias.
I can say that Alacrity mod (+20 ias) appears every ~10-20 list checks, but Lancers mod (+3 java) appearance chance is crap (I only got it a few times). Does it rely on chars lvl or it's constant? If all mod appearance chances are equal what char lvl is optimal for geting this gloves (when this both mods can appear but some of higher ones can't yet)? I realy gonna get this gloves, but if I continue checking Anya for some thousands of times more, I guess, I'll take leave of one's senses.

edit: omg, I've got one more +3 bow +20 ias gloves after 5+ more hours of anya checking (mad smile here)

Shop items have ilvl=clvl + 4, so with a lvl 84 character you have ilvl = **.

Anya sell mostly gauntlers, sometimes they are upgradded to war gauntlers/ ogre gauntlers.

In this conditions you have a chance of 1:12369 to grab a +3 B&C / +20% IAS. The chances are the same to a +3 J&S/ +20% IAS.

Your best shot is to use a character at lvl 69. This gives you ilvl=73 that for gauntlers gives you the minimal alvl=60 to the + 3 tab skills. The chance it's reduced to 1:11305. Not much actually, if you have a character near that go for it but if not it's a waste of time to get a new character...

EDIT: Just a small tip. Alacrity gloves have a specific gold look. Most of the times you don't need to check the mods, just look at the color, if it's gold check it up, if not just close the window and re-roll.

Could you explain how the ilvl is calculated from the gauntlets and the alvl? All sweet info otherwise :thumbup:

As soon as you have a chance for a certain affix on a certain item when shopping, your level is irrelevant. However, the minimum ilvl (and thus the character level) depends on the item type. BTW, I would shop in nightmare or hell act 1-2, as you might get elite gloves in hell act 3-5 and the only ones possible there are ogre and crusader gauntlets which have awful str reqs. Apart from the portal next to Anya you can also make an über portal next to a different act 5 vendor (only in hell mode) or a cow portal next to one in act 1.

The affix level calculation is a bit complicated, but it has been explained several times in this forum. See here. BTW, I found that link by searching for affix+level+calculation.
