Damn am I having fun in the new ladder season. I think I'm on like my 10th pker, mainly disposadins so at least I'm not loosing gear. Latest is lvl 12 with an eth rare maul, charge damage up to 515 which is low, but at lvl 12 at least I get fights. Life is 270 I think. Who says imbue quest isn't worth getting? Sometimes it doesn't roll out a good rare, but when its good, its real good. I really need to spend more time building a good MF'er to equip a real PK/dueler, but I'm having fun in the meantime. I never used MH or any other hack, but it's funny when ppl scan me and then announce what crappy gear I have, almost guarantees an ear. One game I was in I killed a barb, then a necro picked up the ear and I killed him too, so I'm short an ear, but I have 8 in 1 1/2 days of playing this guy. I really want to branch out into other PK chars, but chargers can be built with the crap gear I can get from normal Larzuk. Can anyone offer details on builds that are not too item dependant? I'm thinking sorc with fireball or lightning, or telenecro. I want to keep the level kinda low, under 30. I was also thinking of a char that I could level with and pkk on the way, the lightning sorc comes to mind. Main thing is it can't be too item dependant. Any help is appreciated, and lets hear those PK/Duel stories!

A thousand thanks to Baranor for his invaluable guide. Unfortunately, most meelee builds require max jewels except chargers, and other builds are higher level than I want to go. I don't want to face snap chargers with a sorc, and bone necros smell like tppk'ers, which I despise. I may try a bone nec sometime, but I don't know if I will get legit fights. By the way my lvl 12 disposadin is up to 13 kills now, not bad for the cheapness of his gear. Mainly I want to hear about other ppls pk/duelers, especially sorcs and telenecros.

Make a fire ball sorc with full block at 30 or so and just lay some beatings on chargers.

Well, are you asking how to make a telecro?
All life gear (rubies in everything, angelic rings/ammy, sanders boots, bloodfists, random belt, good blocking shield, any weapon basically, gravenspine is good)

Basically, build the necro to survive, then use a big, badass weapon for a golem (ariocs needle is awesome, with 50% DS and good dmg) and if you want, a merc using a nice honor or other high dmg weapon)

I would suggest this (assuming level 29, and cheap gear)
Ariocs golem
Eth honor partizan merc, with whatever +max or life armor you can scrape together.

Gravenspine wand
String of ears
angelic rings/ammy
Pcrown, if you cant get that, a 3x ruby helm
vipermagi or a 4x ruby armor
whistans gaurd w/ shael or diamond
sanders boots
sanders gloves or bloodfists
Tele staff on switch.

Skills, either like 5 skeletons or none at all. Personally I dont like mages for this build. 1 in amp, a few more if you want a bigger radius. 1 in iron golem, 1 golem mastry, 1 summon resist, 1 bone armor, rest bone wall.


Shade, that build sounds fun, gear like this I assume (going with some good gear for this build.. she will probably need it)
Vipermagi w/ ruby
Pcrown w/ ruby
Nightsmoke
Magefists
Sanders boots
+2 fire ammy w/ second mod
sojs, or if you cant get those, +mana/FCR rings
Spectral shard (could go to 33 and use suicide branch... thats a nasty caster weapon....)
Sigons shield (I say sigons over whistans, because they both have good blocking, and +1 skills is really nice on this kind of build, and vs chargers, block speed is worthless, which would be better?)

Skills, I would assume 1 warmth, 1 fire mastry, 1 chilling armor, rest in fire ball with remaining points going into synegerys for FB...

TS Sins are still viable, I built one last season and she did just fine. You can go levels 9 - 17 easily with them

Include "Hammer" in the name and you might fool a few nubs. Last season I made llpker called mfHammers or something and I think i fooled a few ppl into thinking I was a wholesome pvm char.

good n cheap to eq PK chars besides chargers.. MA sins, sorcs.. i dunno, decent gear maby req if you wanna take hits or block, if you have Dol and Io runes to make a good white wand a lvl 35 necro can do quite a bit of pk'ing with spirit in norm baal runs.

Those are all builds iv tried..

If you want a quick way to get lots of angelic/clegs/sigs stuff for duelers and pks just make a nm andy runner. She drops tons of great low lvl set stuff.

I have seen alot of deadly kicksins around and had considered going that route, but even those are known and feared. Next project is the fireball sorc, I'll go with max block and crappy gear (basically untwinked) and try not to get hit. When I first started building chargers, I had even more pitiful gear (think flawed amythests and 90 damage pikes) and still got ears, but now the learning curve has flattened out and my lvl 12 has 18 ears. My early chargers were lucky to get 5 ears before death. One of my early guys died to monsters in the halls of the dead while chasing someone down, talk about embarasing. Well, thanks again for all the advice guys.
