carrion vine... useful?

carrion vine... useful?

Hi all,
I am restarting my fury druid, since the previous one deeded before even getting to lvl 30

And I was wondering... is carrion vine going to be any help? The % life it gives, is that based on monster hitpoints or on your own life...

I was planning to keep my build simple as follows:
20 ww
20 lyc
20 fury
20 oak sage
couple single points in prereqs

Should be done in the low 70s. Will spending 3 points to get Carrion do me any good? I was just wondering, since I have no experience playing druids whatsoever... and am pretty newish to hardcore as well.

The regain is based on your own life, and it's more of a convenience than anything else (i.e. in the heat of battle it's not exactly going to save your life).

I figured as much, but perhaps I will spend some points on convenience.. although a grizzly might be of more help to my survivability

I'd strongly recommend one point in Carrion Vine. Extra regen, an extra target for enemies, and a way to dispose of corpses. While a SSing druid should be able to leech his way to potion independence, every last bit can help.
