I’ve read 2 of his books 25 years ago. Those who are trying to find alternative in pot will find a way how to consume mushrooms. Old recipes of Native Americans how to escape from this Matrix and make a trip to another dimension. Find energy spots in your home and take a ride with your mind into places that don’t exist.
Those who did not find them selves yet and think that are something special will find Carlos cool.

I read one book by him many years ago. I thought it was strange how he got all worried when he started having flashbacks. Did he expect to get away with taking 7 or w/e peyote buttons in one night? You reap what you sow.
I believe there is that Simpsons episode that draws from his books (the one where Homer takes the insanity peppers and sees the fox, turtle, etc.) Simpsons will do anything as it turns out. One episode Homer is homophobic, another episode he is marying same gender couples.
Come to think of it, Marge (tainted tap water halucination) Lisa (Duff beer carnival river water and wine in a Sideshow Bob episode)), Homer (insanity peppers), Bart (sugar high), and Maggie (caffiene) have all been hammered.
