It would work yes, but it's very time consuming, I would recommend increasing your killing power by removing MF, that would probably give a greater impact over time
People usually have a "MF switch" with an MF heavy weapon/shield (eg Gull/Rhyme ---> Ist'ed 3os Gerkes/4os Monarchs, depending on wealth)

If your normal questing gear has very little mf (<50), then it may be worth it to take the time to do that. But, if you already have ~200 mf, then you'd be better off just killing faster. Mf has a diminishing returns property, so going from 50 to 80 is much much more helpful than going from 200 to 230.
