Yes you can make a Botd in that weapon, but it would be more benifitial if you made it in a eth one. All maces have +% damage to undead as an automod I believe.

This property appears on some weapons. I don't know the exact word in english, but let's assume it is connected to bludgeoning ones. This item can be made into a runeword, but I don't see why you should be making a BotD out of it. It isn't ethereal and not elite class.

Technically you could...but its a waste since

a) not an elite item.
b) not eth

if you're interested i think i do have an sup eth ogre maul, which is the elite version of the war club. i'll give it to you for free seeing as how i'll never use it.

I'd like to make it into a BOTD but my friend said you can't because it has a 50% dmg property on it and its only alowed sockets and nothing else.
Your friend needs to learn a bit more about the game. :wink3:

Iirc the "50% to undead" naturally spawns on all mace class weapons? Staves, hammers, flails etc?

Like the res or ar/ed can spawn on white/grey paladin shields, and other things on other items.

Correct; it's traditional in many RPGs for bludgeoning weapons to do extra damage to the undead

The name of the item has to be white or gray, which yours is.
Actually, you can pretty much only make runewords in gray items, if you think about it.

either eth TM or eth Ogre Maul.
DON'T ever make EBotD in an Ogre Maul. Archon Staff has (almost) identical stats, but the strength requirement is MUCH lower. 172 strength needed for Ogre Maul, ~19 for Archon Staff.

19 Strength?!?!?!?!

And whomping things with a staff is much classier.
