Can the Klingons beat the Borgs or The Republic?

Since the Klingons are like take no prisoner kick ass warriors with stealth technology. They just have to use their cloaking technology to sneak near the Death Star or whatever the Empire thows out and shoot some photon torpedos down the hatch where Luke dropped the bomb. They could also use their cloaking technology to get near the hive and kill the Queen Borg. Simple as that.

But I think the Borgs can beat The Empire because they can assimilate the Death Star's technology and maybe assimilate the Stormtroopers too.

The Borgs would be more of a even match for the Cylons (Battlestar Galactics). They're both robots and have odd shaped spaceships that aren't aerodynamics.n Cylons got the yo-yo shapes I think...

This is just my inner geek thinking out loud....

Borgs pwn all. The only reason they let us win once in a while is so they get better ratings on human TV shows.
Come on...they assimilate the technology and minds of every race they defeat. They are like an ever-mutating and evolving cyborg form of virus. How could Klingons, or even Cylons for that matter, even hope to defeat such foes?

Depends on when the republic is set. Pre-Empire or not.

Klingons, The Republic... powerful? Then they are worth assimilating...

    Then what?

I would have to agree, Borg wins all.

That it does, also your forgetting "the force" that can tell them danger is coming. I'd go on more-so but its late and i'm already beginning to feel more geeky than usual

borg got killed with a hologram of a thompson, that was pretty weak

Borg are the Nazis of the star trek universe, they always always lose and are around only to look cool and take lumps, they have no chance

Borg vs. Cylons would be interesting. They both sort of have that central intelligence thing going on and are both, some of the Cylons at least, biomechanical. The Cylons have numbers on their side, they could probably do like on the show and make some that look like Borg, this may not be so effective because of the central intelligence, though. Their technologies are definatly on par with each other.

Cylon ? Borg > Republic > Klingons > Regular Human > endangered species

The Borg pwn the klingons, the cylons, the sith, Paris Hilton and pretty much anything else you can dream up. The end.

It was species 8472 ... er, I think.

Voyager created a counterweapon using borg nanoprobes which allowed the borg to resist 8472s' incursions. As far as I know, the Borg/8472 situation was never elaborated on in further episodes. I wasn't much of a Voyager fan so I only watched it infrequently.

Except for 1920s submachine guns and knives, which they seem to have problems dealing with. And apparently they never managed to steal the technology for ranged weapons for their soldiers...

Take away the starships and modern earth would completely own the borg.

you can freaking run up to them and unplug them, they have a myriad of weaknesses that will always cause them to lose yet they have the ability to recover endlessly so next week we can whoop 'em again
