Can someone explain dualwield WW barb?

I wanto know what my range is when WWing with 2 weapons, what max FPA can I get, and could it possibly be better that WW barb with some huge 2handed weapon?

Rik did a study i think.. And it seems ebotd GPA < Botd Zerk + Beast Zerk in term of damage. Dual Wield = 50% more hits, thus more damage. The damage average is like 1000 more so it is highly suggested that one would use dual over 2h. However, against pesky smiters with the new grief runeword, 2h is better because of the range superiority.

Hope this clears some stuff up

The damage increase approaches 100% as you whirl longer. Only for the first 8 frames is the damage increase 50%, if using percentages to quantify a single uniform weapon damage used on both hands.
After frame 4, both weapons wielded may attack at the same time (contingient on their speed.) Assuming both are 4 frame weapons, both will attack every 4 frames after the first 4 frames.
I don't see range 5 helping you much versus V/T's, or should we now call them T/V's, since it looks like the popular build will be a FOH heavy smiter, using Grief to give good smite damage without spending much in the way of skill points into it, allowing the paladin to have a very powerful FOH+Conviction. I'd be more worried about stacking resists while still doing good damage with good AR, and that inevitably means dual weilding for best effect.
I've been pondering this a bit, and I don't see an easy way to have 150% stacked lightning res in hell along with good PDR, damage, and AR. Best I can come up with, and its kinda expensive and a PITA, is to prebuff fade w/ last wish (+56% res all, 11% PDR) then swap to fortitude armour & silence on second hand (95 - 105% res all.) Lets you use helm and belt for PDR (String or Verdungos and.. BER rockstopper? 40/-15/BER COA?, ORT 08 Gaze? ORT 09 Gaze?), and jewelery for AR (highlords+ravens). The damage wouldn't be as great as Grief/Fort/Beast, but possibly better than an "old" EBOTD/Enigma/Beast setup, although you lose an 85% AR boost from not using Beast and cannot hit as often with the silence for long whirls as you can with beast.
Some mod pls copy my rambling into the "planning" thread?

good thinking! imo, when dueling V/T/V's you can go 2 ways:
1) kill him fast
2) pack more dmg and def(aka resis, pdr) and prepare for a long duel

setups:
1)botd(or grief)/enigma/beast, be fast, be deadly! remember if he can see you, he will fo(c)h you, but also if he can see you = you can see him = tele+dod! this way is very risky and to tell the truth i'm not sure it'll work unless paly isn't expirienced in dueling barbs. i'm gonna try this nevertheless :xmad:

2) botd gpa/fort + safety items(3xlo helm, ber+ber coa, verdungo etc) hihi, maybe not so long duel. dahmer, baby this one awaits you :xgrin:

Actually it was the other way around, dmgwise range5 2handers are superior in pvp environment, since your whirls are short.Linky.

I strongly believe range is the ideal way to go against smiters now, with knockback if possible.Wearing a fort armor can take your final dmg to 700 after pvp penalty & max dr.Whirling away, will make sure you hit him before he does & if knockback triggers (50% chance) it would buy you a lot of time,it shouldnt take more than 3 hits,if one of them is critical.

@mongol..tiny correction there, the ar boost from fana is 80%.
