Can I pass off this SKIRT as a MAN SKIRT? Thats what my lady friends call my Utilikil

I incorporate womens skirts into my kilt/man skirt wearing mix. Now they can't be mini skirts or floral, wild designs or fem colors like pink or have a lace trim etc, etc, etc as I wear them in public. Just solid dark colors, like this black stretch corduroy skirt which I call a man skirt! LOL What do you think? Can I pass this off as a man skirt, since I have established that I wear kilts (which is basically a man skirt!) (Man skirt is what many females call my kilt!)

I figure since I have already established that I wear a man skirt, I can get away with this one as a man skirt. I will wear this in public. I just do not want to wear something that is very obviously female.

My Utilikilt is made for a man, a man skirt as my female friends call it.

I doubt men would wear a mini skirt. Its too short. Im not sure but dont we men only wear longer skirts (IF ANY)? At least knee-long?
Otherwise the color and this pocket makes it look kind of more manly than normal skirts.

I've never seen a man outside of Ireland wearing anything even close to something like that..and even when I did it was for sure Scottish colored up to say "hey, yes its a skirt but look at the color, I'm William Wallace!".

So no, no, and hell no for anything else like it. The way I see it, if I "think" its a female item....thats alry to close to wear.

Now get the very obvious colored up Scottish/Ireland kilts and then wear as you may, everyone knows what they are.....tho they will ask you to go.."FREEEEDOOOOOM".

The man skirt I wear now in public is a utilikilt. But it is made of demin & has pleats. SO it looks like a skirt. Everyone has seen me in that. SO thats why I figure I can pass this corduroy skirt off as a man skirt. This one in the link is about as long as my utilikilt. it goes to just above my knee.

I'm really torn. Some of the man-skirts just look horrible, but some look pretty cool.

Some carpenters I work with use utilikilts made for storing tools and such. They can carry many more tools than pants and are more comfortable in the summer. At the same time having pockets full of stuff doesn't obstruct movement.

We have those too but people usualy don't wear them when going up on ladders and such.

I suppose this is the where the difference between a man skirt and a kilt becomes most apparent.

As for the skirt in question it looks rather masculine as far as skirts go. I don't think I can be entirely objective since the only man skirts I've seen are kilts, so it looks weird not seeing the expected colours on it. It also doesn't help that it's being modeled on a female.

So to answer your question directly, I'd say yes you could probably pass this off as intended for men

Years ago, no woman would ever have worn pants - it would have been disgraceful. Now no one gives a rat's ***. A cross dresser would be looking for feminine looking skirts. The OP is clearly looking for manly skirts. I, for one, think it'd be interesting if guys are "allowed" to wear an article of clothing that's comfortable without having to worry about what other people think.
