Can hammerdins do ubers?

So, in hell I have max block, 90 all resists with some fire absorb (2x rvenfrost) and +7 skills with 1100 life. Not the best setup (put way to much in dex). I am level ** (almost 89) and still need some more gear (enigma, hoto) but I think my setup is decent. Can I do ubers as a hammerdin, or should I follow the 1pt smiter guide?

Keys, yes, Uber trist, no.

This is one of the flaws to a hammerdin. As you try to ubertrist, you will be attacked from all sides, and while you DO have good res, you won't be able to take down mephy/baal/diablo. The regen health, and hdin's have no way to stop it. Even a good merc will succumb to all the monsters.

As above.. However, as you know you're fit for killing the uber trash in a uber trist exping session.

Killing the Ubers takes a lot of crushing blow because of the high health they have. Let's say they have 1 million hit points, that would take ages to bring down with a 10k hammer because they heal fast. That's why you want crushing blow since it brings them down by xx% per crushing hit. Also, most CB boss oriented melee has got one or another way of preventing monster healing.

So yes, the 1pt smite hammerguide - that's your way.

PS. I don't know your economy, but if you can't afford enigma (as you said you didn't have one) you might not afford other gear you might need for Ubers. I can't tell because I don't know your gear, but judging from that 7+ skill levels you have I'm guessing it'd be hard in any case.

they can if they go 1 pt smite syle but to be a master of keys and ubers, one must hae a masterful amount of wealth... so i suggest you wait a bit before you go all out...

oh, and you might have decent setup, but, they are called ubers... not decents..

I'm not sure where the link is but have you read the poorman's guide to ubers?? if he can do it on his items I'm sure you can do it too if you follow the guide, In fact almost anyone rich or poor can do it, you may need to change your gear a little but there are many cheap sources of cb goblintoe and g face for example

And yes i know the poorman used fanta but I'm using the guide as an example that you don't need to be rich to do ubers

it is totaly easy to do ubertrist with a hammerdin solo. only things that u need is 1 pt in salva and 1pt in smite. my gear is gulli with perf emerald cause dex, 2 ravens, enigma, maras, grief (30/340 xD), hoz with um, gorerider, arach, draculs, pala t, anni and switch to cta. my merc is from act 2 nm holy freeze with eth cv insight, ark umed and andy face. i have no problems with lili, izu and duri very easy. the only what makes it difficult is meph but u need maybe 1-2 full reju. and salva only for meph. i always make meph first and baal and dia i do twice. btw iam 91 and i got with this gear not full resi maybe 50 in hell.

I did ubers a few times last season with my hammerdin, but I had to swap out hoto/soj/magefist/travs with stormlash/raven/dracs/goblin toe, 1 pt into smite and 1 pt into fanta.
