Can any direct me to a thread that discusses the major differences between using a Colossus Blade versus a Berserker Axe versus a Polearm for a WW Barb (for all around, MF, PVM and PVP)?
I know the CB v BA has probably been discussed to death, and I apologize for asking about it. But I can't find any actual discussion on it in any of the stickys or recent topics, and I don't seem to have a search feature. I checked gmoura, Dyn and Loca's WW guides and they don't discuss it persay.
I'm pretty sure, from what I can find, that the Berserker Axe is undisputed the best weapon for a Barb, as it has better one-hand damage, same range, less requirements, and access to Beast and Doom, which the CB cannot do.
What I want to know is if there's any real benefit toward using a CB? Will having the option of two-handed whirling ever be useful? Or does the BotD + Beast combo just blow it away? I heard that two-handed whirling is decent against Smiters, but others seem to say the two weapon whirling is just as effective.
And are polearms ever comparable? I suppose the complete lack of a shield makes it much lower in worth, but perhaps I'm not seeing something.
Also, if possible, could someone direct me to a thread (or explain it themselves :lol: ) in regards to just how much more you get from whirling with two weapons? I just always here "you get more hits" but never even an approximation.
And one last question: Are Barbs any good in terms of MFing in 1.10? Last time I played was 1.09, in which Barbs and Sorcs were kings. I know Sorcs are still decent, and Pallys have become arguably the best, but I don't hear anything about Barbs anymore.
Again, sorry for asking questions I'm sure you're all tired of.
